Considering that this is the best I got (even though it's just a work in progress), I think I'd be better off hiring someone else. I really want the towns to look nice, of course, but I can't do it myself.
I'm making some applications because I've never really been involved with Minecraft's multiplayer before, and would love to experience it. I've had the game since Alpha, but considered myself too young to join a server. After a few years' hiatus, I've decided to rekindle my interest and see what the game has to offer.
Are you a streamer/youtuber? Technically, I suppose? I'm currently capturing footage and editing videos to be uploaded at a later date, probably this Fall. My channel is all set up, and now I'm just stockpiling content.
How often would you play? During the Summer, I can be pretty active since there's no university classes to worry about. Come Fall, my time will be slightly decreased, but I can make it a priority amidst my free time.
Why would you like to join?: I'm getting into Minecraft again after a long while, and I think playing with friendly people would beat playing alone. Until now, I considered myself too young to properly dedicate myself to a server, but now I think I'm ready. I consider myself an amiable person, and don't really have trouble getting along with most people.
Do you agree with all the rules?: Yep!
What's your favorite thing to do in Minecraft?: I really like building fortresses into mountains. The experience of shaping a random hole into a functional, and stylish, living space is really fun. Otherwise, exploring caves and ravines is one of my favorite things to do in the game.
Tell me about yourself!: I study psychology at a university in the American Midwest. I originally played Minecraft way back in Alpha, and hope to recapture some of that wonder. My hobbies besides gaming include reading and writing fictional stories that I'd never dare let anyone look at. Also, making videos. That's a relatively new hobby, but I'm hoping to do more of it.
I said I asked for a disruption of the argument that's pointlessly clogging up the thread. I am sick of Falcrist and Chaos' argument.
What else do you want? Obviously not everybody agrees on how to go about fixing the problems, and you're trying to stop the only thing that's making any progress at all. Everyone else is just blindly insulting anyone who disagrees. The argument wasn't the most productive, but at least ideas are being exchanged.
Or, at least they were, if you've managed to put a stop to it.
Edit: And now, I have to wait for the response. Yes I sent a PM asking for a disruption of this pointless shout-fest. I also specifically told him to simply say for you two to stop, rather than locking the thread entirely.
Why in the world did you do that? What's the problem here? Nobody is being disruptive; there's just a heated argument. The progress shouldn't have to cease because you can't handle that.
BOTH OF YOU STFU. THIS IS GOING NOWHERE FAST. FALCRIST, YOU'RE A TROLL. CHAOS, YOU SHOULD HAVE NEVER RESPONDED. NOW STOP OR IM CALLING THE MODERATORS.
He's a troll because he disagrees with you? The only insults in the past few dozen pages have come from people on your side of the argument. Including you
Or they don't care or are afraid that good things from the game will be lost.
Could you stop being close-minded, please? Believe it or not, people can disagree with you while being completely reasonable.
And Chaos, I hope you realize that insulting people who disagree with you just because they disagree with you will get you nowhere. If you want your opposers to take you seriously, and if you want Mojang to take you seriously, you need to stop taking different positions as personal attacks and allow other people to have different opinions without getting so incredibly defensive.
Heck, I agree with you, and just about every point you've made. But the people who share your mindset, and you as well, need to stop losing your minds if somebody dares disagree with you.
The letter is not open to the public because of a slim chance that Mojang may skim through it. The point of sending a physical entity to their office is so that they get a sense of how major this issue is.
Why should I support a letter with contents I haven't read? Am I just supposed to take it on faith that you've presented the best evidence?
So is there a place I can actually read the letter? The first post doesn't tell me where the letter is, just that it's finished. I apologize if it's been posted, but I'm not going to read through thousands upon thousands of posts.
Well, I guess if it's just your fancy to have a whole bunch of bats, you could probably just build a huge, poorly lit room. It would be kind of dangerous, obviously, but that's just about the only way I could think of.
When you spend a lot of time with the game and then whole bunch of things are added, the feeling is going to be lost in favor of a new feeling. What you're feeling is nostalgia.
The LAN server does not appear when it attempts to scan for LAN worlds. I've tried direct connect, and the IP address my friend's Minecraft gave him is this:
0.0.0.0:64692
I put that into direct connect, and I get the error message above. I know beggars can't be choosers, but please be clear if you give a solution. I say this because KittyCat122 up there failed to make her solution readable, and nothing grinds my gears more than instructions that are ambiguous because someone can't be bothered to type correctly.

Can we get some pictures of the actual map?

4. I'm pretty sure they just use Skype or some similar program.

Anyway, probably the "it's childish" argument. People don't seem to realize that "child-friendly" is not the same as "childish".
