    haha... uhm, no idea how that happened, I will take a look.

    okay :)
    I just learned how to use the corruption gauge :D
    I have always been going with the "needle" when you were supposed to go against, lol
    So yeah, been living in about corruption level 2 for a long time, wondered why I couldn't find iron or diamonds...
    Oh and that blue water continues for ever I believe, I tried following it, but then I gave up, so it might end but I don't think so :)
    It's like a limit, because on one side the sky is bright red, while on the other side it is dark red (as shown in picture) and while in this "limit" the sky is the same color as the bright red one :D

    Oh and I finally found diamonds, jades and iron... (corruption level 8) and I love how everything is setup (zombies and other mobs are so fast...) died several times.

    Oh and a exploit I found:
    If you go the class "Builder", I got a huge amount of level, by just making my iron ingots in iron blocks. Then I made them back to ingots (no xp for that though) and then back to blocks again (huge amount of xp). But you gotta say I made like 11 blocks at the same time...
    And I tried but maybe not enough times, to see if when making the iron into blocks, if because of the first focus (forgot name) you would keep some iron bars and the be able to spam levels and get infinite iron bars.

    But that was it for today :)
    I'll be back tomorow with more :P

    I took a look at the file, and after running it in the compiler I was able to bypass the parts throwing the error. The issue, it seems, is that somehow your game mode was sent to creative inside your players .dat file, I'm guessing that MCEdit is what did that, but I don't know, as I don't use the program. I can tell you though, that a thorough search of the code reveals that I don't ever set that value, so this issue shouldn't ever happen unless you modify the files with an external program.

    That being said, I put some code in for 1.2 that will keep this from crashing your game. When you would have gotten this error before, you will instead be in creative mode. Unfortunately, you will still lose all of your progress though, unless you manually edit the file.

    Okay so my second theory was right :)
    I thought that MCEdit would mess something up, but wouldn't have thought of it changing the gamemode
    So what will happen instead/after this error in 1.2?
    And do I have to wait for 1.2 before playing again, or do I just have to delete my game data now?

    Thank you for all your help :D

    The only reason it would not send you back to your bed is if your bed was destroyed, but it doesn't sound like this was the case. I don't even actually manage that, I let base Minecraft tell me where to send you. It runs the same code as when you respawn in vanilla, I just tossed a flag in there to tell it to keep your inventory. So for that one, I got nothing.

    For the other, from all of that it sounds like somehow your client is being made to think you aren't running the mod at some point and not converting your player to the new class (which has an inventory size of 47 instead of the vanilla size of 45, hence the error in the second PS), but as I said before, despite hours of attempts at reproducing this issue, I can't make it happen. If this only happens in SMP, it may be that you aren't getting the packet from the server that tells you to connect modded, I honestly don't know. That wouldn't have anything to do with your location though.

    What version of MCEdit did you use, and do you have any other mods installed? Have you tried downloading a clean version and reinstalling the mod? What method are you using to install the mod?

    How big is your world file? Would you be able to upload it to dropbox? I might be able to reproduce it that way. I would only need your map data and your player file.

    I understand the problem with recall: a friend broke the bed to put them in another room (got to know that now) :)

    Other thing, I think that like you said, MCEdit is the reason for the problem. I use the newest version, and it must mess up some of the player data when it changes the player's coordinates.
    Both the Server and the Client has only one mod: "The Empyrean".
    And I got a friend to try to join using my minecraft account (a very trusted friend ofc), and got the same error.
    Oh and yeah, I haven't had problem with this on SP, but then I haven't used MCEdit on it either.

    I can try to open the server's world folder on SP, and see if the problem will still be there :)

    I don't know how big the world file is yet, but I will tell you ASAP (as soon as I get home from school: 5PM - Norway - North Europe)
    I'm pretty sure I can upload the files to dropbox :)
    I haven't tried to reinstall the mod on a clean version, but I can do that to when I get home.
    To install the mod: I put all the empyrean files into minecraft.jar (a clean one), but was careful not to replace the folder ("net") but to replace the specific file inside the folder. I then deleted META-INF, and started minecraft.

    Edit: Here is the file https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4wtno17bz7q3fe2/m0AaPwGmmW

    New Discovery,
    I used recall to get back to bed/spawn, I already had been sleeping in a bed so I hoped to get back there, instead it took be back to spawn.
    Problem is that since I didn't know where I had built my base with the others, I used MCEdit to change my players coordinates to the place where we had the base.

    The error now occurred and I can't join again.
    Last time this happened (post above) I started over again, everything...
    And I don't want that to happen again, so I'll just have to see if you can fix it.
    Until then can't play (as I don't want to start over and so on...)

    Hope you can get this fixed!

    *PS: Like said above, looks like it is the coordinates who is making trouble (not 100% sure though)*
    *PS: This is something I would look closer to (as I've made some mods myself): Index: 45, Size: 45*

    I have had one other report of this issue, and so far have had no luck tracking it down so far. You say that when you delete your players data you can join. What exactly do you mean by this? Just your file? Every player's file? After you can join the server again, at what point does stop working?

    Well, I deleted my player's file (the players coordinates, its levels in the different classes, its inventory...), I could join the server again but my inventory, levels, classes levels, where I last logged out... was deleted: I spawned at the servers spawn with nothing. Just like I was a new player on the server.

    I had this problem earlier, but I managed to make it working again by changing the coordinates of the players using MCEdit, I tried that now again, but had no lucks, I tried 20 different places on different blocks... didn't get it to work.

    So my guess would be that either the class levels or the new items/blocks I had in my inventory is the reason.
    Oh and like mentioned it only happened to my player, not the others who also where online when it crashed.

    Well both time I had this error, was because I either stopped the server or it crashed and after that the player had problem loggin in on the server. It looks like it normally would, until it stucks on the "dirt background" just before you see the "minecraft world"

    Oh and in the chat/console, it tells that the player logged in, but then seconds later it says he disconnected because of generic reasons.

    The server crash was not because of the mod I believe, it was actually my computer who wasn't responding, and minutes later it worked again, but it had exited the server, but not the normal way, it force quited it.

    If I can help in anyway, just message me, and I'll see what more I can find out. But for now this is everything I know/noticed.

    Hope it was to any help, and good luck with this awesome mod :)

    Whenever your editing base classes for testing purposes, always, ALWAYS remove the code from wherever you added it. Also if you really need a feature added to a base class, and Forge edits the class, you could always do a Pull Request for Forge.

    Like I said: Testing Purposes = Reinstall MCP and Forge... afterwards, just like testing out what the different codes do... :)
    But yeah thanks for advice :P

    It will not break it, you just make more achievement variables, that's all the achievement is, a variable.

    Okay good to know :)
    I am not that good at modding,
    so by looking at different tutorials by different authors and by trying out myself: edit base file... (for testing purposes ofc) I hope to improve :)

    Okay :)
    Well a tip then:
    Try presenting it better out. more like Wupp29, if you see what I mean?
    Oh and it would be great if you did just like Wuppy29 where you show us how the final class file looks like, so we can compare and see if nothing is missing or if we put it in the wrong spot :)
    It's a suggestion :) I can live without it, but it will make it easier to understand and follow what you are doing (+I am sure there will be less "dumb" questions)

    Now, I wait for the best :)

    Like I said before, you do NOT need a separate class, but if you want to you can, those two methods go inside you main mod class, and then you call them after you load your achievements.

    I did understand the first time that you didn't need your own class file,
    But I don't see how I can fit them in, as what if I want to add more achievements?
    That would break the thing no?!

    But I will try what you just suggested...

    Note that achievements do NOT require a separate class, so no need for the AchievementName.java file. And I actually didn't notice that error in the achievment localization overwrites, thanks for pointing that out. Also please post your achievement page code, I think I know what is causing that crash, if it is what I think it is then its not an error with the tutorial.

    Okay so here is my "AchievementName.java"

    package mentin2.entities.common;
    import net.minecraft.src.Achievement;
    import net.minecraft.src.Block;
    import cpw.mods.fml.common.registry.LanguageRegistry;
    public class AchievementBlueCobblestone extends Achievement
    {
    public AchievementBlueCobblestone(int par1, String par2Str, int par3, int par4, Block par5Block, Achievement par6Achievement)
    {
    super(par1, par2Str, par3, par4, par5Block, par6Achievement);
    this.addAchievementName("AchievementBlueCobblestone", "Blue Cobblestone");
    this.addAchievemenDesc("AchievementBlueCobblestone", "Mine some Blue Stone");
    }

    private void addAchievementName(String ach, String name)
    {
    LanguageRegistry.instance().addStringLocalization("achievement."+ach, "en_US", name);
    }

    private void addAchievemenDesc(String ach, String desc)
    {
    LanguageRegistry.instance().addStringLocalization("achievement."+ach, "en_US", desc);
    }
    }

    And this is located in my Main java class:

    public static AchievementPage AchievementPageExtendedEntites;
    public static Achievement AchievementBlueCobblestone;

    @Init public void load(FMLInitializationEvent event)
    {
    AchievementPageExtendedEntites = new AchievementPage("Extended Entites", (AchievementBlueCobblestone));
    AchievementPage.registerAchievementPage(AchievementPageExtendedEntites);

    AchievementBlueCobblestone = new AchievementBlueCobblestone(2000, "Blue Cobblestone", 0, 0, BlueCobblestone, null).setIndependent().registerAchievement();
    }
