Grew up in a mining colony, deep beneath the Earth: was mistreated by those who were in control of the colony. Like the other kids in the colony he resorted to pick-pocketing as his source of income. This involved feeding himself, clothing himself, and just for outright survivals sake. Getting caught on several occasions, this lead to very messy fights which has left him with several scars: both mental and physical. He saved from this life by a man named Lucares, who was a traveling merchant who was visiting the Colony that season. He discovered Levant, took him under his wing and taught him the way of merchanting, while stamping out the warrior's flame inside him. Lucares took Levant with him, out of the colony and showed him nature and that life wasn't all bad. Levant swiftly learned his calculations, and how to read with enthusiasm. His love for art and nature grew with his education.
This relationship went on for 50 or so years, before Levant and Lucares found their way to a distant land where his master met an untimely end, being stabbed by bandits and left on the side of the road to bleed out. Levant was knocked unconscious and woke up in a temple of Monks who told him that they had nursed him back to health. Levant set out as soon as he was stitched up, in order to find his mentor. In the several months it took him to find out that his Mentor was dead; he was stricken with grief. Thus he took up merchanting as his profession, to keep the memory of his mentor alive.
So he is now traveling with his beloved across the lands in hopes of finding that one place he can call home, and open a permanent shop. Until then he will continue travel, with his wife.

He is family oriented, and a bit over-protective of his Loved ones; he may avoid violence and overall conflict, but he won't hesitate to draw his blade in order to protect those he cares about the most. Levant sees possibilities everywhere: having grown up in the underground in a mining colony he had only his wits as a resource.
Clothing? A black and gray over tunic, with straps that hide his hidden knife. (I don't have a copy of my skin anymore)
