Thank you for quickly ending my horror...especially after seeing how EA destroyed my once-favorite franchise Sim City.

Yea, as long as you're not using mods. You probably think SimCity 5 is an improvement over SimCity 4 too. Get a grip son. -

A large web page dedicated to the mod but as is so often the case, the installation section is almost an afterthought. Here it is in its entirety:
- Extract the zip, and copy the contents of the folder inside into your %appdata%\.minecraft folder
- Run the game, and let them spawn naturally or create the Tornado item from the top recipe in the picture inside zip file
- Extra configuration is possible, WeatherMod.cfg inside %appdata%\.minecraft\config
1.) Can I put the whole zip file in My Documents and allow MagicLauncher to deal with it? (This is how most of my mods function.)
2.) If I really MUST extract the zip to desktop; okay -- I get the folder. But then what? The folder inside the unzipped folder is called "mods." If I placed that folder inside .minecraft it would conflict with a folder already there, the one called "mods." Is this in fact what we're supposed to do?
3.) What I'm guessing is --- we're supposed to take the two zip files inside the folder called "mods" and place THEM inside the folder that's already inside .minecraft called "mods."
Modders have the terrible habit of assuming EVERYONE knows EVERYTHING about installing mods. WE DON'T. In fact, I don't believe even modders know everything about installing mods (I've seen some really whacked out instructions over the course of my torturous journey with custom content.)
Please be as PRECISE as possible with instructions. What may be obvious to many is never obvious to ALL.

2.) Why in the world can't this simple mod be dropped into Magic Launcher like almost all other mods? And if for some reason that's impossible, why then can't it just be dropped inside the Mod folder inside .minecraft (like ExtraBiomesXL for example)?
3.) Despite the claim of texture support in the OP, I just spent a couple hours on this and cannot find ANY texture pack support. I love the idea of this mod but the ores look goofy on every texture pack. This is a great mod, it should have tons of texture pack support.
It appears the modder needs help from someone with more experience; I hope he's not to shy to ask for some assistance.

Never made it big on radio but a fantastic band for the time. I listened to them during the Cold War while I was in the USAF serving in NORAD.
The following video is more modern but I think you'll still appreciate the band. (With some kind of European subtitles.)

From the band "King Crimson" 1969
(Sorry buy you'd have to hear the whole album to find that quote -- haha -- but I thought I'd introduce this great old band to you.)
Subtitled for some Europeans.

For the most part, I use cats as stationary guards around my house or base. Taking them underground may be useful but if there's lava in the vicinity you can kiss your cat goodbye (you'll hear a scream then see a puff of smoke.)
I rarely have a dog simply because I tend not to come across wolves often enough.

While MultiMC is "better" it unfortunately causes a noticeable lag for some of us. I've mentioned this before elsewhere, there's a technical reason for this which is over my head but there nonetheless. Such is life.

But now that my brain is wired to play as I've been playing (without the pick block feature,) is there any reason to change and suddenly adapt it? Is this feature all that useful? Especially when one would have to memorize what's in the hot bar in the first place?
I should add that I'm a survival player only just now trying out the creative mode. Perhaps this feature is indeed useful when doing construction.

Thanks for the info about mobs and villages. And I fully agree with you about the ice covered paths being a royal pain in villages; one cannot do repairs without constant flooding from each broken block of ice.
