It was SO simple the answer was staring me in the face the whole time!
All you need to do is to make a 'Sticky' head (or Plunger head).
Make a pattern (4x1 square) of frame blocks for the 'bottom' of the head with 'sticky' panels.
(the ones with brass corners)
then cover the 1x1 sides with 'slippery' covers (the ones with square sides).
Each block will 'Stick' to the miner-head and then when it retracts it can be harvested by some normal block breakers. (The Mine-head moves, not the block breakers).
A Straight up, Straight down - miner can be built using this technique.
Eloraam, can you include the base class(es) for BlueTricity in a future version of forge?
(e.g. is it isolated enough that the core modules like: IConsumeBluetricity with BlueTricitySink/Consumer ) can be put there without too much fuss? (e.g. refactoring / dependency extraction or whatever you Java coders call it...)
There are interested parties, who would like to add to this, Red-Power Era that is beginning...
Slashdot noticed the 6502 emulator. Emulation then, the behavior of a million sheep looking at your blog.
The server then emulated a over-microwaved burrito and exploded.
Ok, since I figure you might be curious about what I'm doing to the normal textures (I'm enhancing them), this is exactly what I mean by enhance:
As you can see I'm giving the features and important parts of the textures more depth while also keeping the same colours, and smooth style of the old ones. They also don't take very long to do because I'm just tweaking the textures, not really making new ones. Anyway though, I hope you like the tweaks!
I like how you did the 'impossible' by modifying the renderer to have this 'overlay' type set of blocks in the world (the ship).
The collision detection works pretty good, and there are few glitches (ladders not working for ships), stone brick steps being oriented wrong when re-attaching to world.
Notch should pay attention to this, I think you've bested him at his own game with this mod!

Any one else experiment with this idea ?
(WHY WHY Isn't there a pure RP2 machines/creations thread?)

If not everyone appreciates the wonders of FORTH; Perhaps something more pedestrian is required?
