Yes, a majority of Minecraft is down for maintenance at the moment. You will be fine by tomorrow, I would hope. 1.3.9 is the browser version, and 1.7.4 is the current game version. The browser can access all game versions, btw.
I'm not sure what maintenance is happening, but you should be good to go as long as you downloaded it from the mojang website.
Hey guys, I was admin on a fairly large Pixelmon server, the 8th or 9th most popular on PlanetMinecraft.com. I was demoted for reasons which, I don't understand, but I'm not here to publicly trashtalk my old server, as much as I'd like to.
I'm here to talk about how freeing it is to have stopped playing. The demotion got me thinking- I spent 700 hours, literally hundreds of hours, playing there, all to have it ripped away. Not only did it teach a valuable lesson which I will take with me in real life, it helped me realize how much of an addiction it had really become.
I know you never hear the Minecraft players talking like this, you expect this from your old, stupid parents, I know how it is. But the addiction to a game is very real, and can be a serious problem. Honestly! I played there for a month and had 400 hours- after the hours were reset halfway through my time there! That would mean I had almost 700 hours there!
I recently joined an online school, and this gaming really took away from my school time. I am actually a month or two behind, that month being mainly the month in which I got on that server. But I played Minecraft before this! I don't think I've played for a year even, I joined in the 1.6.2 stage, but I found myself unable to leave the screen!
I know this sounds ridiculous, but my social life migrated to an online basis. I made some good friends there, many who turned their backs, which is easy to do online. My sleeping went down the toilet. I wouldn't sleep for sometimes days, immersed in this game which wasn't going to help me later in life. Along with that, I stopped eating, because it would take away from my time to do Minecraft. These facts combined made for a very annoyed and ornery person.
Family life crumbles when you are never, I mean never, happy. It really does. I'm not exaggerating when I say this game can kill even family relations. I have no problem with the game, but too much is too much. An hour a day is what I'd call tops. I've spent enough time, I never need to go back.
Honestly guys, the addiction to Minecraft is something to be taken seriously. I'm not saying you need to get in rehab and repent to your Lord for what you've done, but I'm explaining- Minecraft isn't real life! Spend time in real life, not Minecraft! You cannot IMAGINE the relief of quitting! I laughed my head off, to the point of those glorious tears of joy!
I can go learn a new language! I can go pass school and exceed expectations! I can take my face off the screen! Honestly, guys, look at your life. This isn't a problem for all, and if you don't have it or aren't 13+ you haven't read it to this point. But look at social and physical parts of your life, and think about it. Where DO you LIVE? Minecraft, or this glorious reality of.. REALITY!
That's all I have right now, I'd love some responses and I'd love to talk to individuals. Thanks, if you've read to this point, you sir/ma'am, should earn a medal for reading that much, for I know it took from your time on Minecraft.
Didn't work on 1.6.4. It seems cool, but I suggest Flint as a fuel. Not a flint and steel, but just flint, and have it burn for about 100 seconds, since it's a little rarer than coal. (Just a little). I also would like it if you added some fuels from other popular mods, in a addon possibly, or just an option in the mod?

You should try reading the readme.txt and getting the example pack, it really helps. And if you want to edit the .bbmm files here's a few examples of how:
If you right click the file then it will bring up a menu, there should be an "edit" option on there. Click it, and it should open in notepad and you are now able to edit it.
Rename the file to ".txt" and then open it. Edit it, save it and close it. Then you can rename it back to ".bbmm".
Create a new ".txt" file and edit it as you wish. When you are done, duplicate the file (copy and paste) and then rename it to ".bbmm".
The .bbmm file goes into ".minecraft/bbmm".
Okay, I read the readme already, but I can't find the examples? Where is it? I'm more of a map maker than a modder... lol
.,. I don't get it, I understand the blocks and stuff, but where do I actually MAKE the mod? How do I make .bbmm, and where do I put it? Sorry I can't figure it out, but it sounds really awesome once I learn it!

Compatibility is somewhat low, with my favorite mods. I really would love the option to edit the way ores spawn, and the rarity of the biomes in the menu. And, why can't I remove the ocean? I HATE THE OCEAN. There should also be a way to adjust general biome size. If updated to 1.7.2, there might be a way to decide where it spawns in relation to other biomes, like Vanilla? And make sure it has all the new 1.7.2 biomes? No rush or anything, just some ideas Great mod, I love it! I spend my whole time in survival searching for my diamond biome haha
Are you using other mods? I found removing all mods then picking out the imcompatible mod works for this, because it does work, but the layer selecting crashes for some reason with some mods.
