I've been gone for a little while and I have to say, you really are wrapping things up, these last minute changes are still impacting the game. This is an achievement. Hey, with all the lighting and weather changes, I am wondering, do the phases of the moon have and effect on the light level? Your lunacy nearing it's end in this dimension I have to say I'm proud of this thing which I have had nothing to do with. With MC headed in the wrong direction, a (super sexy) god like yourself has to take a seventh day of rest, and drink a beer. Cheers
Just got back from vacation... You sure release a lot faster than the whole team at mojang. I'm sort of left speechless. Uh, good job? Something that sort of made me wonder was, since the removal of apples as a drop, (Now only found through trades and chests) will you be reimplimenting them? I highly doubt it, but thought I'd ask also, when do whitestone slabs come into play? I noted that whitestone blocks are mineable with an axe. I know about limited ID's but, in the finalization stage will bugs like this be fixed?
Flowerchild, you begin to scare me. You're... you're... Taking peoples suggestions. Golems and soul urns... Placing candles... When do boat links come out? (dug a quite a few pages back to find that one). Don't get all mojang-ish on us. Packing has also made me question my long held belief in btw. People can make packing factories, as if this was some twisted form of tekkit (pardon the language). This form of minecraft is no longer about pure creativity, but it is a challenge, and forces you to think. These aren't bad things. But... my beliefs are falling apart around me... Tell me that something horrible and disturbing is planned for your next update?
Forgive me Flower, for I have sinned (other than the whole soul torture thing). I feel I agree with you on the garish flowers and mushrooms, however I was greatly impressed by the new biome looks, especially proper mountains and savannas, not to mention the new reed textures, and fishing implements (I like catching a pair of boots, everyone knows boots are funny to fish out). It was also sort of relaxing not waiting an hour and a half for a brick to cook. Looks like Mojang won't have you righteously ripping out their features so easily now will they? Have fun trying to keep BTW up to date when kangaroos become a viable source of protein shakes.
Flowerchild, thanks for the new updates. After a little ranting about HC archery, I'm so happy that padding no longer consumes feathers. Padded armor is my favorite (It's super hipster too) and I'm happy it can be obtained slightly earlier game. To me, Padded walls is a necessity, and arrows and bows were a luxury. Now I can have arrows (now an absolute must) without interfering with my padding obsession! The recent Hell update has also been tons of fun. I've been cowering in fear after accidentally opening a portal in the middle of town, and to be honest, it's a blast. Chickens popping like confetti cannons, Villagers having nasal/wardrobe problems. The update has one downside though...
GRAAAAGH. Minecraft is slowly going downhill... FC is our savior, raising it up from the ashes (and glue of horses). I want to thank you Flowerchild. I can't even play normal minecraft without making 3 wooden picks. The most recent update is amazing. That's all that needs to be said. You've created a true hell. Thanks. Do creepers do anything special in the nether? It's not like those soulless bastards would mind being in hell.
You should probably turn your ideals away from a home of bleeding trees and enslaved souls, to one with padded walls. And to clarify FC, a padded room is what I spend all my feathers on.
S*** just got architectural. Anyways, building on my last post, the brewing stand should also probably have smooth stone at the base, in addition to something along the top row. I love using potions, but mainly because they're so helpful (so easy it's almost cheating). The brew times could also do with a rebalance. I'm not suggesting these ideas, I'm requesting them. The game is flowerchild's and I'll respect whatever he chooses to do.
I just love it when posts end with "stop complaining." Being the horrible person I am, it just makes me warm and fuzzy. FC made the mod how he wanted it to be, he likes it, and he'll keep it that way.
I just discovered that the pumpkin pie recipe requires a raw egg. I tried for about 10 minutes with a whole egg. Spent another 5 looking through the changelog for change. Logged back in and was blown up by a creeper. Are you telling me that steve has the ability to rip apart a melon with his bare hands, but is too dainty to break an egg? Are you telling me that I have to throw an unborn baby bird at a wall to make a pie? *sigh* oh well. On a different note FC, I feel like the Brewing stand should require iron, or even better, Soul Forged Steel nuggets in the top corners to make the racks for the potions. Cobble and a blaze rod just makes a burning stick pointing out of some rocks.
