Ever since i started playing Minecraft 3 years ago, I knew that i wanted to share my experience with those around me. Previously I have just posted screenshots of my world as I played since my computer couldn't handle Recording and playing. Now the times have changed, I have built a computer and can now record, upload, and share my adventures with you.
This is my First Minecraft Video series of an old Mod-pack called FTB Monster on Minecraft Version 1.6.4. I choose to play this older pack because it was the first modded Minecraft I really ever saw when I started playing. I hope you all enjoy !!!
I would say no less than 720, but why no just upload at full 1080 late at night when you're not using the internet? Let it upload for several hours while you sleep, then if it's still uploading in the morning you can leave it while you're at school / work during the day.
Also, try experimenting with your rendering settings, try to get the best compression without losing quality for your desired resolution.
I have Super Bad internet a Gig takes 12 hours and there are other people that use the Inter-webs so It isn't preferred to have more then a 12 hour upload. But I ended up downsizing from 1080p to 720p and a 20 minute video takes 600 Mb. So it all worked Out. Here is the video if you could comment of the quality:
Would Downsizing a Minecraft Video from 1080p to 480p Hurt the Video quality enough to make people not want to watch. I want to record in 1080p then edit and downsize to 480p to help my upload speeds. What resolution does Minecraft start looking bad in?
Does anyone know what the connection speed should be to play on a Minecraft server, and how much data it uses on a un-modded and modded server. I am on a limited data plan now and have to be careful.
It stops on the last step of loading the mods and says ran out of memory. Try running Forge with No mods installed, just to see if it truly is forge messing up or if the mods cause the crash.
So far this pack is amazing, it took me a while to figure out the mining tier's but that just added to the fun. The custom recipes makes everything that much more interesting, and the weather mod looks beautiful so glad that it is included. I continue to want more and more of this pack as i play it.
I just did a custom reinstall of Minecraft, on my secondary data drive using a windows batch file to set the appdata there. But now I can’t get the game to launch, I used the newest installer that was on the site and after painfully slow downloads, it had enough to launch, which it did once, ever since I can’t get 1.7.10 or 1.10 to launch with either a modded or unmodded version. Just to make sure, I went to a place with great internet (to make sure one of the files didn't get screwed up) and downloaded minecraft on a flash-drive using the same batch file to set the appdata to the folder I wanted but instead of the new installer I used the old minecraft launcher. (The computer I used for the second download had the newest java 8.) and once again the same happened I could launch the game once and after that nothing, I just get the error unable to unpack natives for the modded version/ and 18:13:43 ERROR]: Job 'Version & Libraries' finished with 2 failure(s)! For both modded and unmodded.
From what you have said, As a quick fix you should be able to force quit minecraft when it happens then just restart it. For long term, have you checked the logs. It might say what isn't working right.
Does it happen while you are doing a certain task in game or does it just randomly freeze While walking/craft/fighting? What video card if any are you running? Did you download the windows 10 anniversary update?

That sounds like a memory leak.

There are reports about 1.10.2 using insane amounts of ram for modded I myself cant run the Ftb pack using the java arguments:
-Xmx3840m -Xms256m -XX:PermSize=256m -Dminecraft.applet.TargetDirectory="W:\User Files\Documents\Curse\Minecraft\Instances\FTB Presents HermitPack" -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true
