Ok for now I've just thrown in a placeholder of a top grassblock texture just so I don't need to worry about it for now. Also In the theme of grass I've finished the tall grass and the double tall grass.
Also you have certainly noticed by now that I play minecraft with shaders. I know that resource packs and shaders screenshots usually don't mix so If you guys would like me to turn off shaders before I take screenshots please let me know.
Finished maybe my fifth attempt at getting the top of the grass block right. I tried to make It have the same style as the side of the block. It looks decent when you are looking at just one single block, however it looks really weird when there is a bunch of grass all together. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong!?!?

Previously I contacted people specifically to have them join, however this time we have decided to try accepting applications for the server.
All you need to do to join is fill out the following questions and I'll let you know if you are accepted. We will only be taking in 10 people or so, so you have to stand out.
SERVER:
Spunge SMP is a whitelisted vanilla 1.9 snapshot server based heavily on building a community among the players. We work to create the best town we can with the people we have; creating shops, houses, etc. Our goal of the server is to complete all of the achievements, therefore "beating the game", and just generally having fun.

I always thought birch trees in real life looked like eyes so I tried to go with that design.

I think I've got the side of the grass block down but I'm not sure what I could do with the top. Any ideas?

Looks pretty good, but I think you should tone down the contrast of that sand a bit so it doesn't stand out as much.
