Omg the biggest seed to find :o dont worry ill have it to you asap! :)

No luck yet? Don't sweat it, bro. I'm sorry for being so overly-specific in the requirements. Such a world is probably an impossibility within the generation algorithm. A seed with just the basic biome layout that I described would be more than appreciated. Don't even worry about all the extra crap.

Suffice it to say that a strange relationship exists between a person's alertness, understanding of society, attitude towards others, anxiety level, adrenaline production, metabolism, and muscular development.

I want a default generated 1.7.9 seed that spawns you in a fairly flat plains biome with the following biomes immediately around it: swamp, desert, savanna, mesa, and mushroom island. Around the first set of desired biomes, the following other biomes should be represented: jungle, roofed forest, mega taiga, and extreme hills. The mushroom island may be in an ocean adjacent to the plains, but would preferably be connected to the mainland. The swamp must have a witch hut. The jungle and desert must have temples. The plains, desert, and savanna must have villages. The plains and/or savanna must contain at least two groups of horses or donkeys. A skeleton dungeon must exist within 100 blocks of spawn - the closer the better. And lastly, a nether fortress must be visible from a portal built at, or very near to spawn, and would preferably have a blaze spawner within 100 blocks of the portal on the nether side.

I've been manually searching for a seed that matches this criteria for months. Hope you can find one, and much thanks in advance.

posted a message on Snapshot 14w17a Ready for Testing!
Pretty cool, but I was really hoping for the ability to set a particular range of biomes around worldspawn to specific biome IDs to create my ideal microcosm of the world... even if it only affected the biomes contained (or partially contained) in the 'always loaded' chunks, it would be frickin' awesome. The advanced setting fields could use a little explanation too, but I'm sure someone will get it all figured out and post some info about it.

Also, I'm just wondering, does anyone know if worlds generated with the default 'customized' settings are the same as generating a world with the original 'default' generation setting? I'm curious to know if there are really only 7 dungeons on a standard, randomly generated Minecraft world. That seems really low. Or is that 7 dungeons within a specific-sized, repeating volume?

    I'm not whitelisted

I just got added too, but I think the server must be restarted before any new additions to the whitelist take effect. I'm just going to keep checking if I can login every few hours. So, don't worry, it will be 24 hours at the very most, and probably a lot less.

posted a message on Horses struck by lightning turn undead/skeleton
Undead and skeleton horses cannot be equipped with horse armor, so if a normal horse is struck by lightning and turned undead, its armor would either glitch into oblivion or be discarded on the ground and potentially despawn before the player realizes it. With most horse armor being quite rare, I can foresee many players being angered by this. However, if Mojang were to allow their use of armor, or simply add a recipe for crafting horse armor, I would fully support this.

EDIT: Also, wild skeleton/undead horses would need to be made tamable, and tame horses should retain their 'tamed' status to keep their equipped saddle after being turned undead as well.

posted a message on Spawn in Village with Pyramid and Triple Ravine
    Seed: -2552276050484746973
Works in 1.7.5. Default world generation.
Village is half in a savanna, half in a plains biome, and has a blacksmith
Pyramid is only 20 blocks away
4 diamonds, diamond horse armor, and some easy gold and iron
Small ravine is right at the edge of the village
Mining southwest and downward from southwestern end of ravine leads to large cave system
Cave system contains at least one double-ravine, down to layer 14
Kind of a cool place to start. Haven't done much exploring yet

I wouldn't want to be involved with anything that facebook would ultimately usurp complete creative control of and profitize with targetted ad revenue through the exploitation of users' private information and usage habits either. Avoiding it like the plague should be the default position of anybody who values the legitimacy of their project and its end users' right to privacy.

posted a message on Minecraft Movie?
It will probably go something like this: Live-action Steve (probably played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) ends up on a boat, through some contrived story, which ultimately crashes and he wakes up as a 3D animated character in a really nicely rendered version of a Minecraft world. He will do all the general stuff: making tools, fighting mobs, building a house, farming, and exploring. Probably not a lot of mining, unless there is a separate montage or a musical-esque song about mining to make it more interesting, and ending climatically with finding his first diamond. They'll probably make him an electrician or engineer in real life, but still have him hurt himself accidentally, several times while he figures out how redstone works just to inject some over-the-top slapstick humor into the mix. Then he meets villagers, which all look a little different, have their own personalities, and exist in male and female variants. He asks them how to get back to the real world, they tell him about the Ender Dragon, etc. He probably becomes the village redstoner, and helps turn it into a large, bustling metropolis in yet another montage sequence. But no matter how successful he is, he still longs to be home with his family. Eventually, he will seek out a witch, who will be the one that creates a portal for him, and sends him to the Nether to get blaze powder. A shadowy figure will probably be following him throughout the whole movie, and will be revealed to be Herobrine when he is confronted by the Wither, which won't require any collecting of skulls or construction, but just exist as the 'boss' of the Nether. Herobrine will fight the Wither while Steve escapes. Overall there will be lots of action and goofy humor to make kids happy, some of which will have double meanings which will make the adults who don't know anything about Minecraft but take their kids to see it happy as well. When he finally gets to the End, the Ender Dragon won't be hostile, but act more as an intelligent, omnipotent, god-like creature which grants his wish to return home. And Live-action Steve wakes up in a hospital room, having been in a coma for only a few weeks. His family will be there. The End. Except... In the last scene an extremely realistic-looking Enderman is standing outside the hospital window looking inside, leaving it open for a sequel. It will get rave reviews, but there will never be a sequel no matter how much people beg for it. It will be remade in the year 2042, and even though the animation quality will be 10 times better, people will say that it's nowhere near as good as the original.

My 'Domination' arena is complete enough to play. Just need to finish the spectator area and do a little redecorating. Ran a few test games to work the kinks out of the scoreboards, but now it's ready for action any time (bloody, brutal, intense action woo hoo!). Thanks to Jud for helping to make the redstone more efficient, and to Lithium, Jeslur, Ronin, and Tim for playing. Also thanks to the tons of people who donated leather, lapis, gunpowder, and other materials (I will be continually be accepting donations as well). If anybody is interested in touring it, playing a match, or spectating (and yes, spectators can now trigger traps/dispensers to help or hurt a team) let me know and we'll start scheduling stuff. Also to note, Muse and Willow are working hard on a 'Capture the Flag' arena really close by, so we will definitely start having some game nights. Stay tuned.

posted a message on New Beacon Power: Preservation
Just a note. This power would affect specific entities, not blocks. The same as all other powers. However, instead of players, the entities affected would be creepers, endermen, and spreading fire (a tile entity different from - but produced by - the non-solid fire block). So, fireplaces would still work, but no 'tick' to determine additional spread or directionality of the spread would occur. And all of this would remain restricted to specific entities within the beacon's area of effect. Once any of these entities leave the area, or would otherwise affect an area outside of this, they would function as normal. This means that a creeper outside the area but close enough to destroy blocks within the area would still destroy them, endermen would still be able to place blocks but not remove them, and any fire within the area that can affect blocks outside of the area would still spread to them. This essentially reduces the area of effect by 3 blocks around the entire radius.
