On Yosemite, minecraft requires java 6. Link Removed
I suggest you look at the second answer in your own link. It says the launcher will only run with Java 6, but can be configured to run minecraft itself in java 7 or 8. Have you tried that?
If you have bspkrsCore installed (even if you don't use any of the mods that depend on it, I would guess), it generates a file in the config folder called "UniqueNames.txt" that lists blocks and items with fully qualified names, and you can use those in the Finder Compass config file. (unless the block/item is named cryptically, uses metadata/NBT tags or such to distinguish itself from other items you don't care about, or does other weird things like the GregTech entities for ore)
EDIT: It doesn't seem to recast but that's fine, I'm using Enviromine so I can't just walk away from the computer. You saved me a lot of time and game life so thanks man.
It recasts for me with Aquaculture rods (once I edited autofish.json - is it possible to have the Aquaculture rods in the config by default or by detecting if Aquaculture is installed?). My small problem is that it doesn't stop when my inventory is full (which is more of a risk with Aquaculture because fish of the same type can have different weights shown and don't stack).
I like the idea of this mod, but I came across a couple of things that disappointed me:
1. It looks like I can't use the door factory to make garage doors with water effects (if I'm wrong about this, please let me know how to do it)2. Garage doors don't close automatically when I'm out of range of the player sensors (in case it matters, I had placed them on the ground, because the walls around the door are all glass panes so I couldn't place them on the wall).
For charged certus quartz ore, try starting the line with:
ae2:OreQuartzCharged
I admit I haven't tried this one myself, but I found it used in a text file of processing recipes in the AE2 jar, so I'm hoping it'll work. I'll let you decide for yourself what color and search-range parameters are appropriate for it.
Also: I did not manage to add custom ore to be detected (tin, copper or uranium ore or ic2).
I tried various names and Ids, but it would just not work.
This is what I tried:
Uranium_Ore:105:254:102:15:1:1:100:0
oreUranium:105:254:102:15:1:1:100:0
uranium_ore:105:254:102:15:1:1:100:0
uraniumOre:105:254:102:15:1:1:100:0
IC2:itemOreUranium:105:254:102:15:1:1:100:0
itemOreUranium:105:254:102:15:1:1:100:0
167:105:254:102:15:1:1:100:0
None of those worked. Can you help?
I was able to get uranium detection working using the following line:
IC2:blockOreUran:0:192:0:15:1:1:100:0
Must this be shown as a large repeating animated gif? Most of the other animations/videos for articles only start after user interaction.
Personally, I think this might be too immersive for me.
