do you realize how hard it would be to make water act the same way as it does in real life?

why dont you code up a prototype for notch. then you can complain.

its not going to work unless someone makes diagnal lava flow lines inside the wall on the Z axis of what so far has been described (vs wall slices being the x and y)

here is a rough description. its not tested so probably would not work as is.

    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :cobblestone: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :Lava: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: [] :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :cobblestone: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :Lava: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: [] :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :cobblestone: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :Lava: :cobblestone:

then, at about 5 blocks down when the lava flow stops, it would drop down 1, and more would merge in from the top/dissapear from the bottom. because this is the wall design, it might be smart to line vulnerable points with obsidian.

    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :obsidian: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :cobblestone: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :Lava: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: [] :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :cobblestone: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :Lava: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: [] :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :Lava: :cobblestone:

note that none of these lava blocks are source blocks, the sources can be put on the inside portion of the wall to prevent them being tampered with or being turned to obsidian by water. in this design, when someone digs through the lava will flow into the hole made and touch the water, turning it to cobblestone and repairing the wall without interuptions of the stream. the only problem is if the attacker lucks out and hits one of the flow extending parts, which would mean that the lava flow could fall down into the next level and leave alot of the defenses further down the wall vulnerable.

another alternative to this design would be something like this : which would solve that problem but also recreate several problems of the last design.

    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :cobblestone: :cobblestone:
:cobblestone: :Water: :_: [] :Lava: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :cobblestone: :cobblestone:
:cobblestone: :Water: :_: [] :Lava: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :cobblestone: :cobblestone:
:cobblestone: :Water: :_: [] :Lava: :cobblestone:
    :cobblestone: :Water: :_: :cobblestone: :cobblestone:
:cobblestone: :Water: :_: [] :Lava: :cobblestone:

lava is source, empty blocks are lava flow

also if it is possible it might be worth it to direct lava flow using signs or ladders.

(oh, and the half blocks are double half blocks. they are there to let you know if someone broke in and tried to patch it up)

Just dig around the wall duh. Or build a staircase.

well duh. clearly your right and the topic is completely pointless, obviously everyone is too stupid to build a lava pool below their house, or a roof, or walls on all 4 sides even!

in other words, go away troll.

It would A: burn the attacker or B: seal up. This is an aerial view btw
If I'm missing something point it out.

it would seal, but if all the lava was source it would turn to obsidian, and if you did all the work for that many lava source blocks you might as well have an obsidian wall. if it wasnt lava source, it wouldnt work as water doesnt turn falling lava to stone, only flowing lava.

this might be overcome by taking the wall design to the 3rd dimension, zig zagging the lava flow down the inside of the wall, or maybe just diagnal lava stripes vs a zig zag pattern.

EDIT: contribute to the topic you monkeys

tbh, since porn is so stupidly easy to get on the internet, a "dont click if your less than 18" button with a terms of agreements checkbox" thing should be enough. if a child is going to go through a process like that to open it (he has probably done it before), well its pretty much their fault if he is mentally ****ed when he visits the 4chan server. might be a good lesson.

how does tf2 handle this kind of thing anyway? there are so many servers with... questionable content there, but i dont think there have been lawsuits over it. they do however have an M rating to go along with.

either way, if a server has very offensive custom textures it should be removed from the MC server lists by mods and flagged as an 18+ only server. servers who post offensive content without flagging their own servers first should be banned from minecraft, punishment shutting their account down.

once i was looking up into this large room my cave had connected to, there were about 8 spiders there as i counted maybe 16 eyes. i didnt get a chance to fight them because a creeper dropped on my from a ledge above and killed me and the floor, under which was lava. my stuff all burnt. \o/
