Nice idea ^3^ I think it might be a little to complex for vanilla though... but hey it would still work!

Maybe you should give the queen somewhat of a unique texture with something like a bigger body and Perhaps some pincers.

The Queen could spawn in 2 - 4 armour/soilder bee minions from time to time, and Red/Armour Bees when she gets down to 1/2 health.

The queens AI should also be only to rarely come out and attack, yet make it more like the guardians with some sort of a hallucination of her and some echoey buzzing.

    Anyway those are just suggestions.

    Don't listen to them.

    I feel they're pointless.

Anyway, you've just been braced with the HIGHEST HONOUR EVER:

    SUPPORT FROM KAWAIIGEEK.

    :o IDEAAA... ILLUMINATI DUNGEON CONFIRMED

Well, the queen is unique-looking and is bigger than normal bees. I didn't say it, but I thought it was self-explainatory. Also, she does not spawn other bees, but they spawn in her room normally, so the same effect is achieved, and making additional spawns would probably make the Queen battle to hard, even for a full-diamond player. Anyway, thanks for the support!

Hello, this is my first time on this forum so go me!

In terms of your bee's I'm not sure about some things. Don't you think that's a bit OP (For the bees)?

I would rather see the 2 pixel one-heart bees that die after they attack you. I don't like this idea.

Would the Queen be a boss?

I don't think Mojang would add this if you think about it.

    So No Support!

Sorry if my comment is a bit sloppy.

If you think about it, all the arthropods in the game are over-sized. Spiders and cave spiders, as well as Silverfish (although I am not completely sure about their real life size, but I do not think they are that big)

If the beehive is too large, a smaller version that Might be an alright alternative is a domed structure about 10 blocks across with a door on one or two sides and a 2x2 hole in the middle of the floor leading to a large round room where the queen and loot are found. It would be like something between a dungeon and a little desert temple. The bees rove around the area and will enter and exit the queen's chamber at random, but there are always some in there and the bees can roam pretty far depending on the type. If the queen notices you it draws in all of the bees. The more aggressive or dangerous, the closer they tend to stay to the hive. Workers might travel up to 20 blocks from the hive so seeing/ hearing a wandering worker might be your first indicator that there's a hive in the area. Like with zombies you attack one you call in the others. You don't need to kill the queen in order to tame a worker.

Personally, I think the Hive should stay big because I think we need more big structures in MInecraft. Also, I was planning on adding a new bee type- scout. They would spawn anywhere in the world, as long as the biome they spawn in is adjacent to the biome that contains the hive.

I have an idea on bee farming and feel free to shoot it down. It’s a hybrid between using the villager AI and real bee keeping that uses your tamed bees. The concept is that you make a Bee House or Bee Hut using the hive blocks and the bees will stick to it like a sort of mock hive the way villagers stay close to doors that have 5 light obscuring blocks behind them.

The target the game could use to indicate the hive entrance could be a 2 block tall by 1 block wide doorway, like a mini ender portal made of hive blocks. The total height and width would be 4x3. Also like an ender portal the corners can be knocked off to save on materials so you’d just need 6 blocks in total, 2 for each side and 1 each for the top and bottom.

Another thought is that when a bee is flying over or near your crops your crops grow faster, as though the bees are pollinating them, and the bees in turn could produce more bee related items the more they effect your crops. If the tamed bees move similar to other passive mobs and drift a little bit and stop, drift and stop, then this could have a very noticeable effect on your crops.

Even if they can’t have the villager type AI and stay near a mock hive it would be really cool if we could make a large enclosure and farm where the bees are kept for a crops growth boost or plant flowers in the bees enclosure to increase their production.

There was a further concept that had villagers keeping bees, but that would make it too easy to get tame bees. A small house with a Bee Hut attached to it and a door in the house would go straight into the back of a Bee Hut and a Beekeeper/Honey Farmer/Apiarists type villager would trade for bee related items.

    Probably hard to code...

Alex_the_pony... I don't know what to say except... Thank you. I was waiting for the banner for so long that I thought this suggestion was going to die without it. THANK YOU!

Crafty_Angyl- Thank you for making the block. It looks better than I expected. Personally, i prefer the last design, because it is hexagonal, and that is how the hive cells look like. Sorry, I don't have time to read your post about farming changes, but I guess I will catch some wifi and time.

sk replies to me on the previous page. Click the link, then #3387, finally the Forge 1316.09 kB. It works on my PC computer with Forge 1450. You cannot /undo with that version. If a large area and you get the wrong tree it might get ugly.

    HTH

Thanks, but I have restored it from recycle bin so it works the way it used to.

    I have a problem. I use 1.8.

I tried to redownload the World edit because I could not make forests. But, now, only version I can get is 1.7.10 version. Why is this?

Not technically. Using the global tab, you could change the point values so that you can hit them, and they will not hit back. :)

How? I know you can make aggressive and neutral NPCs but how can you make them not hit back?

The idea is decent, though can you tell us the limit and all of the biomes please. Other than that, this would be a bit laggy if you could just spawn in the biome below you. So...

    Very Minimal Support

I may be wrong, but I think it would not be laggy at all. You would just need to reload the chunks to see the effects. Worldedit does have this feature and it works pretty much that way. IT IS WAY FASTER THAN ADDING BLOCKS. Probably because you edit columns, not blocks.

On the topic: This would be good for mapmakers and needs to be in vanilla. But if you need it now, I suggest you Worldedit. Although it is a bit glitchy, it should help.
