So a friend of mine is having massive amounts of trouble with minecraft. He normally runs the game on the application instead of browser, and every time he attempts to log in, it tells him "cannot connect to minecraft.net", even when the site isn't down. He has great internet connection, he has an account, and all that stuff. So the application does not work no matter what.
He decided to try browser-based. The browser version logs him in fine, and he manages to get on. But apparently it only works for 1.8.1. He tried to connect to my server (which was 1.9 pre-release 2) and couldn't, so I asked him to update. He got the minecraft.jar and replaced the old one. Now the browser just gives him a white screen and nothing else.
Something is wrong here, and neither he or I can figure it out. If anyone has any ideas, they would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
The main problem I have with endermen is that they pick up EVERY type of block. Sure, it's not that big of a deal if they take dirt, cobblestone, and whatnot, but they take chests, glass, stone, and other player-crafted items. Like someone has said before, we shouldn't have to make our houses enderman-proof. If notch just nerfed it to where they couldn't pick up certain blocks. For instance, they can not pick up any item that does not drop a block (like glass) or chests that contain items. If anything, I'd be alright with endermen if they just dropped the block they pick up. That'd be a lot easier.
I seem to be having a problem with my server, where the console will get flooded with errors. Here's the general gist of it:
[SEVERE] Unexpected exception
java.lang.StackOverflowError
at df.a(SourceFile:276)
at bt.a(SourceFile:50)
at df.a(SourceFile:108)
at df.b(SourceFile:203)
at df.a(SourceFile:117)
at df.b(SourceFile:203)
It will then proceed to spam the 117 and 203 errors. Is there a way to fix this, or is it a problem with the beta minecraft_server.jar? I would like to know so it doesn't happen again.
Thank you.
I'm having issues with this mod. I keep attempting to install the mod the way it's meant to be installed, I add in the files like I should, but no matter what I've tried, the game just goes to a black screen and crashes. I don't understand what I did wrong. I installed ModLoader, AudioMod, GUI API, and deleted the META-INF. But nothing works. Can I get some insight?
you forgot to install Mo' Creatures afterwards.
Its basically like this: Start up Modmanager. Drag the AudioMod, GUI, and Mo'Creatures. I think you also need Ryu's Modloader as well.r
The thing is though, I DID install Mo' Creatures afterwards. Yet minecraft continues to show a black screen. I don't understand the issue, since everything works except the mod.
EDIT: Ok, as stupid as I decided to be, I tried using Mod Manager to install the mod. Now every time I run a map, the game crashes.

I believe it's mainly a concept of gaming. Most PC gamers prefer the PC because it provides more options to gaming and optimization for such. While the MAC is decent, it is not meant for playing games. I think if you put a gamer and a normal person in comparison, the gamer would prefer the PC and the normal person wouldn't care at all.
Hmm... Let's look...
1. I play the computer for at least 12-16 hours a day
2. I am learning basic JavaScript
3. Attempting to learn modeling
4. Trying to learn lua
5. I play a sum of RPG's
6. I play Magic: The Gathering
7. I feel playing DDR is good enough exercise for me
8. I use a Touhou Project character for every single avatar I have anywhere
9. I imagine building my own computer with the best specs ever
10. I work on attempting to configure my router quite a bit
Not too sure.
I liked to play Team Fortress 2 until all the ridiculous updates came out, like trading. Crafting was alright, but it has become annoying that everything about Tf2 is trading now. Every server, even if it's a serious one, gets spammed with tons of "OMG GET DIS CRAP FRM ME FOR SOM IMPOSSSSIBLE PROICE" or something like that. I like to fight, not trade for hours on end.
For your information, I meant a friend on the internet.
Not cybering, which I assume means 'cyber-***'.
And I am no freaking troll. Not anymore. Never been on this forum.
So let's get on-topic again, shall we?
You weren't being depicted as the troll, Evaldor was. And there's really no way to get back on topic with Off-Topic.
But anyway, welcome to the forums.

What does that have to do with anything? He can't connect to minecraft.net itself, so he can't play online in minecraft.
