Why are people so insane about this?

Just because its new doesn't mean its better than windows 7.

Think about vista, it was new at the time and all the people who dropped xp regretted it.

Windows 8's theme isn't that nice either, its metro, which is best on a tablet or a smartphone, on a PC aero is the best, on a phone metro is the best.

Post why you think windows 8 is all that, or reply agreeing that people need to wait a bit and let the testing get out before you drop your current pc for a new one.

I could never get the aether to run because of the laggy menu, hopefully I can have a better experience with this mod!

I experience numerous graphical glitches using Optifine, and it actually tends to reduce my FPS rather than improve it.

Just because it works for you, doesn't mean you have to invalidate everyone else's opinion..calm down.

Mcpatcher is far better for those who:
    a. Want a LIGHTWEIGHT patch
b.Want something incredibly easy and intuitive to install

Does this make it the best ever? No of course not

    "Easy and intuitive"

How much easier can you get from just dragging files into minecraft.jar than installing a client and picking options and patching it?

If I seem like I am flaming, don't take it that way to anyone on the thread, I don't like provoking flame wars.

MCPatcher has a lot of features that Optifine doesn't, IE Skyboxes, better glass and biome/height specific random mobs. I personally use Optifine, but yeah.

And I had to tell someone this yesterday too, we are entitled to our own opinion. We can download and use what we like, we don't need people advertising and screaming in our faces telling us what to use. And the FPS boost doesn't come for everyone, a lot of people actually get more FPS when using MCPatcher.

Anyway, you don't have to patch for every texture pack. One click 'patch' and it does it for all current and future texture packs, until a new MC update is released.

Wrong, you are not a optifine user.

Use optifine standard, look in all of the options, you will find randommobs, biome height, better grass, and even connected textures.

"Lot of people get more fps when useing mcpatcher"

That is a darn good lie, mcpatcher does nothing to increase fps.

People who ask this question really get on my nerves, why do I have to patch every single texturepack I get, There should be a way that they are automatically patched.

I just want to scream in their faces, OPTIFINE!, OPTIFINE!, OPTIFINE!

    http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249637-142-optifine-hd-a7-fps-boost-hd-textures-aa-af-and-much-more/

Optifine standard prepatches all texturepacks, no annoying "click patch" and stuff, plus FPS boost.

So when people complain about mcpatcher, tell them what I do, Mcpatcher is outdated and complicated, use optifine, it prepatches all HD textures without some crazy program, and gives you a nice fps boost.

Oh lordy, the textures are horrendous. It looks like it was designed with two minutes in paint.

I shouldn't expect a lot from someone who just joined the forum, doesn't have an avatar, and is named "xiProNewb"

Please, learn better artistry skills before attempting this again.

    Don't use MCPatcher.

Its a pain to use, and optifine is wayyyy better.

Just use optifine for HD textures, by getting optifine standard.

Do the "Force update" option, it gets you a clean minecraft installation, removeing any mods.

posted a message on Have you guys ever tried this to fix the compatiblity issue with optifine and aether?
Would getting optifine light bridge the huge compatibility issue between Aether and optifine?

Optifine light doesn't have anything normal optifine has, just doubles your FPS, based on optimine.

The huge compatbility issue between aether and optifine is around a lightning system, which aether tampers with.

So could optifine light actually bridge the gap?

So putting the NEI jar in the coremods folder is complicated?!?1 Oh your poor brain, your computer must be crap and so must your brain. It's called READING THE INSTRUCTIONS. Modloader is open-source so you failed and it was not stolen

And actually it was a problem with NEI on that one, it gave me a .zip instead of a jar.

Don't use MultiMC or any other mod installing program.

Just do it the old easy way of useing WinRAR or 7-zip to drag the files into .jar

Or if its a modloader mod just drag it into the mods folder.

    Its not that hard.
