I saw someone awhile back mention this and laughed.
I logged off last night, just booted my SSP world up, and see this, the thing that is puzzling me is that the part of this house that is mising was made midway through it's build. So there were portions that were made before and after it... Not a huge deal to fix, but wtf?
So, last night after about 30 tries. I finally got a seed I wanted. All I was looking for was a group of medium sized islands with a different biome on each. I didn't get exactly what I wanted but it was pretty close.
Why can't they install a feature similar to how Civilization does it, where you can choose, continents, Pangaea, archipelago, etc.. Then maybe take it further by allowing us to dictate which biomes will spawn and maybe even make the map a grid and allow us to choose which parts of the map are a particular biome.
I gotta be honest, I'm the type that will start a world, be playing it and find something about the map I don't like and delete it, it can be something as simple as a mountain with a sheer edge that just looks so "man made" that I can't stand it. I know ridiculous, I just can't help myself.
I know similar things have been mentioned, I just haven't seen anything about it in awhile.
I gotta be honest here too, I think map generation is seriously lacking and should be taking up more of their time than some of these features they are working on. Ender chest for one, I could have sworn I have seen that before... Probably because it has been a mod for quite some time... These are the things I can't stand, Work with the modders, if something is out there. Look into it, check out the coding, make sure it's legit. Then maybe endorse it? Instead of adding it to the game, then maybe work on things that make more sense?
bah, idk. Sometimes I think the more sense things make the less likely they are to be taken into consideration...
i know it has a free version, but i've just heard it nags you to buy it.
Yeah it prompts you everytime you open a zipped file, annoying but it's what I've used for years. Funny thing is I still have the same version I downloaded about 5 years ago, never updated it... Still works, still free, just get that annoying prompt.
We did not see a fluid merge of SSP and SMP. We saw a horrible system full of bugs, that will fail worse than netflix's qwikster. Fix the things that are in game before you waste our time with things we do not want.
And still no HID support (keyboard, mouse/trackpad/trackball)
Creepers + touchscreen-only input = fail!
You aren't too bright are you? Wait i forgot, I never leave home without my iphone joystick... Seriuosly the things people say... Why the hell would anyone spend any time on the things you mentioned? Who actually makes a plugin keyboard for a phone? If that even exists I have a screen door for a submarine I wanna sell them...

This wont happen though, youtube will allow all the "big dogs" to continue to upload theirs and reject all the small guys and new comers...
2 words for that Class action... They cannot reject some and allow others... Plain and simple.
Edit: Yes, earning money off of the video of you playing Minecraft is commercial use, it doesn't matter who you are partnered with...

I've gotten so into those mods, I feel naked not using em.
I'll check yours out either way, been getting the itch to play SMP again lately.
