My schools internet filter pops up a little message asking for an admin account and password, if you click cancel enough it goes away eventually. If that doesn't work just change http:// to https:// always works.
Stand in one of our shoes, you'll see why it has to be like this.
Generally sites are blacklisted when ads/the site have malware, this is probably what you experienced.
Having seen the other side of that, wouldn't a good firewall and good end point protection work just as well? Or just use Deep-Freeze with a shared network drive for static workstations? Assuming that it's a stereotypical Windows setup.
Change the CPU to an i5 3570k, Change the GTX 680 to a Radeon 7970, You do not need 16gb of RAM, the most you will ever use is 8.
Not necessarily true, if you multitask excessively, host VMs or servers, or do video/photo editing you can use close to 16. It just depends on what you do. Eight is a good number and what most users will need, but don't discount their needs without details.
What do you plan on doing with your computer? Some of the parts you have picked out can be a bit overkill and not really worth it if you aren't doing anything that's going to use them. e.g. 16 GB of RAM.
I'm actually in the market for a new laptop, and this is what I'm trying to convince my dad to get me.
(Small) hijack that's relevant to the thread; anyone know how well this'd do on BF3 @ High? I've seen benchmarks for ~40 FPS @ 720p, but just wondering.
I get sent to a different page, what GPU do you have selected for it?
66. Never let anyone except you use your computer. They will, somehow, break it.
67. Never let anyone except you place their beverages beside your keyboard. They will, somehow, spill it.
68. Never let anyone except you see the browsing history. Your friends will mock you and wifey will be dissapoint.
I break this rule, but they do not use my profile, I have a controlled guest profile. I only do this because the people that I let use my compter would replace what I couldn't fix if they broke it.
31. The 4th and 5th mouse button are an almost universal 'back' and 'forward' navigation button, working in browsers as well as Windows Explorer. Even without installing a specific driver.
32. Win+E is a shortcut to open a new Windows Explorer window.
33. Win+Pause/Break opens the system preperties dialog.
34. Ctrl+AltShift+Esc launches Task Manager.
35. Ctrl+Esc is the same as pressing the Win key.
36. Microsoft Office 2003 is still the most used and most compatible version of Office used throughout the business world.
37. Developing a skill with Word autotext, templates and macro programming will put you leaps and bounds ahead of your coworkers if you ever hold any office based administration job.
38. ESET NOD32 is one of the top anti-virus software suites.
39. 3rd-party firewall software is usually only as good as the already excellent Windows Firewall built in to Windows 7 and above. Even the one by ESET.
Didn't you buy THIS less than 2 months ago, why do you need to buy a new one now? Why didn't you just take our advice in your other threads rather than trying to make your own builds and disregard anything we say?
Intel i7 2600k - I would get an i5, unless you are doing rendering or editing you won't see much improvement. There's no issues with i5's I don't know where you heard that. p8z68 deluxe - I honestly would chose a cheaper board, but that's just me.
nvidia geforce 560 ti - Good card, good choice. 10000 rpm velociraptor , i'm not getting the SSD OCZ because it has the BSOD error i don't like that. - I would get a SSD anyway you can have a BSOD from anything. corsair SDRAM 1600mhz 16 gb - You will not need 16 GB, and go with a lower freqency, it will be cheaper and it makes no difference. psu 1000 watts just in case. - You will not need 1,000 watts. liquid colling , with case . - You will not need liquid cooling. Look into a Hyper 212 EVO if you insist on getting liqiud cooling you are going ot need to make a full loop.
all for $1300
P.S i won't need a 660 ti for the purpose i want the pc.
no intel i5 bad experience with them overheat with liquid cooling and FB problems
motherboard is a medium end for OC im not planning to get the i7 to 5ghz that's why i don't get a 12 phase one

As well, "secure" partitions are not safe from root kits.

Ever looked at this?
http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/
You can also just use the default admin password (Blank password usually) in XP.
Also try a portable version of Chrome or Water/Firefox with HTTPS everywhere.

Would you be up for putting in a GPU?

Mini ATX it's a board type. You can fit it in smaller cases. Though an ITX would be a better match.

Yeah, the benchmarks are about what you would get for that.
