My school actually purposely keeps our school at 60 degrees so "Girls don't dress like sluts." They all wear mini-skirts and yoga pants anyways, you can't change fashion. They're also 'attempting' to ban yoga pants. But, a couple stupid ones are:
I'm in college. So, it's pretty relaxed. But one rule I always disobey, and can't stand, is "no knives on campus."
Depending on where you are, they can't do that because knifes are generally recognized as a tool as a primary and a weapon secondary, so they can't be controled by weapons laws as strictly.
*This does not apply to you as a minor unless you are not associated with a school district and have written parental consent to carry.
Except there's a difference between disagreeing with someone and flaming someone you disagree with. There are people on this forum who can have a civil discussion but there are also users who don't add anything to the discussion and just flame people they disagree with.
I acknowledge this fact, but requesting a post be locked because you are being told you are wrong is kind of crazy, when the whole intention of the thread was to show if they saw an amount of hate elsewhere. Which most of the replies may seem off topic but if what he recognized as hate was really not hate, well until the latter posts, that was a bit hateful... Anyway, if he is not properly recognizing hate and we are trying to show that it wasn't hate he was seeing but a logical argument then why should it be locked?
Can a moderator lock this?I can already see this isn't going to turn out well.I tried to post one simple question and get some intelligent responses, but I can see that the majority of the people posting just want to tell me that i'm wrong so.Whatever.I'll stick to the survival sub-forum.
I missed this completely, Isn't the point of an open ended question to get open ended responses? Not everyone is going to agree with you, but as you can see quite a few have, that is the wonderful thing about forums is that you get so many different opinions on things.
Many Windows folks can't seem to get through OS discussions without spewing out their "Apple fanboy" crap. Have they ever considered it's those kind of insults that further discourage people to not associate with Windows?
I've seen few Apple users that care if someone uses Windows. But it seems absolutely ridiculous how offended Windows users can get that people don't use their preferred OS.
Honestly, I don't give a damn what operating system you use; but overpaying for hardware, in excess of 400-500 dollars in some cases, is a bit stupid.
Screen is Apple's own design/manufacture as far as I know.
So, not the highest end components, not the lowest end either. I'm not going to go through the teardowns for other computers, but I'd bet your claims of Foxconn mobos are correct in some way since they are one of Apple's primary suppliers.
Too lazy today to get sources so I am just saying this from what I, and real life friends who are also techs, have experienced.
Macs are pretty good in fact. They are just too overpriced and incompatible.
Not really, they use Foxconn motherboards and Hitachi drives as well as off-brand OEM GPU's. Foxconn motherboards are notorious when it comes to blown caps, as well Hitachi drives often have a much shorter lifespan than other companies drives.
Well there comes a point when you misuse grammar to the point where it becomes difficult to read, you have come close to this point. Also if I remember the thread correctly, we actually tried to help you, and you became aggressive because we where trying to tell you that there was not an appropriate computer, a Mac, that was inside your budget. We then offered you an alternative and told you that it was a better deal anyway.
Wrong person, Anyway here's the thread, take it as you will.
I would just like to applaud the wonderful posts from the few people who didn't even bother to read my post.I don't care what you think about the Mac.I just wanted to know if you guys see a lot of hate like I do.Also,i'm tired of all the grammar freaks.OKAY!We get it.You're perfect and we're all idiots because we misused an apostrophe.I hate people who feel the need to correct everyone on the smallest grammar mistakes.
And to the people who actually contributed something.Thanks.

Half the people who are regulars, like myself, are techs and actually work with computers, and keep up with trends. So we hate because there is no proper justification, other than brand loyalty or fanboiism, to buy an Apple computer. Everything you can do with an Apple computer you can get out of a traditional, "PC" whether it be pre-built or a homebrew, for much, much, cheaper.

Doesn't work if they have deep freeze or a similar program though, you would have to re-install it each time.

People like you annoy me, we have an excellent community here who are experienced techs and others who are experienced hobbyists.
