the word hacker still means someone who uses a device, tool or object to do something that it was not intended for....

a cracker is someone who breaches into computer information system to get acces to things he should not have acces too.

Pretty much this even though I tend to use them interchangeably.

P.S. I wonder how many people here get your location, I had mine as that for a while.

    Quote from StalePhish

Personally, I think homeschooling is a very selfish thing for a parent to do. They are holding back their children from learning the social protocol and thinking like other people, instead of just one-sided teaching. It ties in with 'street smarts' vs 'book smarts'. You need to be well-rounded in order to succeed in life, and the only way to get 'street smart' is to interact with real people in the real world, not just real people in your house.

    >Assuming AGAIN all homeschoolers are reclusive.

Who did something great but either doesn't get the credit due to them, or the praise is given to another person? Who did something that may seem insignificant or inconsequential but really is responsible for a grand chain of events?

You're not allowed to answer with Nikola Tesla. Far too easy.

How do you know you would've turned out that way?

Because I already was turning into that kind of person. I had gotten into a lot of fights, had gotten in trouble for arson and was depressed. (All the things that go along with that: Thoughts of suicide, reclusive behaviors, etc.) I already had problems with empathy and socialization. (Aspie) Forcing me to socialize where I don't know HOW to respond appropriately would have worked out great... Since homeschooling I have been able to socialize in a more controlled environment where I can teach myself social ques and what is appropriate so I know how to respond when it isn't a control environment. Without that I would not be a, "normal" person. So before you **** on it, not every one has the same situation, and like any decision the pros and cons should be weighed for your individual situation.

Sorry for bumping this but I never got to reply to this.

I hate homeschooling. It gives the kids biased thoughts, and makes them much less socially apt.

If it wasn't for Homeschooling I would have turned into a very violent, sociopathic, and depressed person, it's not always bad. Not only that, your statement is biased in itself, you seem to think that every homeschooler is a social recluse.

posted a message on how can I win in a fight?
    Quote from AsiAticStaTiC

I suggest what everyone else suggests, don't take it to violence, also, if you're really worried about your well being take it to the police, and enroll yourself in some self defense classes.

Just a couple tips tho, always keep your hands up, if you go to punch always make sure your other hand is covering your face, also try to keep a distance as well. When you punch, don't just punch, say your hands are covering your face, bring your elbow to your side in a twisting motion so that you see your fingernails in a clinch fist, from there twist you're punching (sorry its a whole lot easier to show than it is to explain), also when you're striking someone never stop at the body, strike as if you're going to punch through the person's body.

    Goodluck!

This is incorrect, in boxing you are taught to, "Snap" not punch through as it can lead to fractures in your wrist.
    Quote from aurora1979

I will also second, or 58th, the best not to get into a fight at all argument.

However, if it is unavodable there is a few things to remember.

    1. Ignore all the posturing fighting styles. Unless you are very good at them they won't work.... maybe they will if the guys a real ***** but generally it wont.

    2. Learn to box and learn a second style, something involving grappling. Most fights move into close quyarters quickly. Kicking space is lost. A kick, while more powerful is, generally, slower then a punch and reduces your mobility and balance.

    3. Most fights go to the floor in a few seconds. Learn to grapple. DO NOT DO THIS IF HE HAS MATES AROUND AND YOU DONT!!! :) In that case you MUST stay on your feet.

    4. You can't go into a fight thinking "I dont want to make him bleed" He wants to make you bleed! or worse! If it is completely unavoidable and you have to fight to defend yourself then fight like a wild animal. Bite, scratch, punch and grab at anything you get. A street fight has no rules and being kind could get you seriously hurt.

It is better to be judged by 12 then carried by 6.

I spent 4.5 years working some real shitty nightclubs and bars. The way to cut down the chances of being hurt are by being able to quickly asses a situation and judge the best way to respond. Thats not someting you will learn on the MC forums.

DO NOT CARRY A WEAPON! Most people that get stabbed do so with their own knife. Unless you are truly ready to kill someone then pulling out a weapon is risky. You concious kicks in, you hesitate and they get the weapon off you your ****ed.

Finally, and this is morbid but very valid. DO TELL SOMEONE. he has made a death threat to you, even if you don't want to tell the police tell someone. If things did get out of hand, say one of his mates goads him up a bit and he brings a knife and you get killed, make sure the ****ers at least going to get caught.

This is probably the best fight advice here, as far as weapons choose something like a baton or knuckles, they increase power and distance without leading to death. (For the most part.)

Thanks for the help. I've seen a lot of people say the i5 is overkill, however when I render my HD videos the CPU usage is always at 90-100% on all 4 cores & I figured upgrading to an i5 would help (as opposed to dual core i3)

i5 is not overkill it's the staple of the average amount of power needed for current multitasking and gaming.

    Quote from Sgtbob2

So when I think I start chewing on the earbud wires so I got some $80 headphone a while ago and I have been having the bad habit of chewing on the cord. So today I was watching a youtube video and it made a weird robotic sound and then the sound went off. So I am wondering if there is a way to fix the cord or do I need to buy another? This is really going to bother be because I have a youtube channel and I need the headphones to record my voice for commentarys.

If you do this a lot just buy some cheap earbuds from monoprice, they are a great quality for being so cheap.
