Well if we turn gold into lead and then use the lead for bullet shell casings or something, we have the makings of guns :biggrin.gif:. (Though personally I don't want guns added into minecraft).
Shell casings are brass. Bullets are lead. Thus, you die from high-velocity lead poisoning.
Sometimes, I'm on Easy. But lately, I've been playing on Peaceful and exploring the map. Once I have a castle set up, I'll turn on Easy mode, just for some nasties running around.
But, I find it fun to just explore the map on Easy mode. And, no, you're not a wimp for doing it either. It's my game, and I'll play it my way.
Aw man! This is going to throw off the whole established food pyramid. The MC Food and Drug Administration is going to have a fit and will have to re-do all their pamphlets. Damn!
My character just hit Lvl 30 and I can now craft feather pickaxes, swords and armor. They look OK, but I can't wait to start crafting glass armor and swords at 45. And, my new duck mount is great. Sure beats having to use a boat all the time. And now that I can use buckets to collect rain water, I can make more Pure Water Healing Potions to wear on my expanded 6x6 belt.
I only put torches on the left side going into a cave or shaft. So to find my way out, I keep them on the right. Works most of the time, until a creeper blows them all to hell.
I've had my castle walls blown out, until I built the moat.
Yesterday, I had built an outpost by a deep cave system. I filled my pack with torches, picks and swords. After polishing my armor, I started into the cave system, throwing torches on every dark wall. Spiders, zombies and skeletons fell to my sword left and right. Veins filled with riches gleamed from every wall. Then, the creepers came, blasting my escape routes and dowsing my torches. I quickly used up all my ham-steaks and knew my life was hanging on a fine thread. I scrambled to relight the torches and rebuild my stairs up and out. Getting lost in the cave complex while hearing the eerie sounds of pursuit, my heart pounded in my chest. This was excitement! This is why I play Minecraft. Without the threat of creepers ambushing me, I'd never have that thrill while exploring deep, dark caverns.
