I am very happy to see this project back alive again. I did not expect to see this project still alive even after all these years. I have been watching this project for 3 or so years.

Well wow another post that blows my mind. I did kinda wonder in the back of my mind "But I look beyond that: "Ok, so they 'catch up', then what[/i]?".
If you think Win10 and the other editions are going to slow down and
continue to play follow the leader, you got another think coming."
You are absolutely right but I believe their plan is to have all versions catch up first. Then java, console, and pe minecraft will start having updates around the same time. And if I remember correctly you said
"once they all have the same features, Xbox will be able to play with Win10 and PE."
So PE or Win10 and console will start having updates around the same times. Java and this combined console/pe, so to call it, will start working together more in terms of features. We will see like a new mob in around the same update time as each game if you know what I mean.
"Everyone is asking, "When is Win10 gonna 'catch up' to the java version?"
The real question for the future is, 'Will the java version be able to keep up with Win10?'"
The answer to your "real question" is no. The Java edition will not keep up. In terms of add-ons and players the other editions of minecraft combined make up way more then the Java minecraft. Now the PC minecraft has been a powerful platform for the minecraft community. I know a lot of youtubers that do minecraft pc for a living. Now I have seen some do pocket edition videos but the community for minecraft pc is powerful and hard to beat. Soon though more will come to pocket. We have seen add-ons and resourcepacks. These can be made by a community and shared. Same with worlds.
Now one issue with the Windows 10 edition Minecraft is it puts minecraft pe into the pc environment meaning there is now a demand for other people with other operating systems who would like to get in on stuff like add-ons that are difficult to get on a phone or tablet. They are releasing this version of the game everywhere now. Even the apple tv. That would be the last place I would look to find minecraft. It is cool they are releasing this game in more places. I personally think they could release it on Steam which has been discussed before but that was for the original pc edition. Just personally it would be smart. It would create a path to HTC Vive support and Steam controller support because as far as I know the Xbox controllers only connect with Windows 10 PCs. Just my personal opinion.
My final issues with the game was relying on Xbox live and this version of the game doesn't really have an authentication system for servers and I am not talking Minecraft realms. Xbox live is nice and all but still why? To just allow future support with the Xbox versions? And where is the authentication system? This kinda leaves it up to servers to authenticate which to me, putting in a password every time I want to play a server just makes it just less desirable to play. I personally think they could put in their Mojang accounts here. You could create a username. You would sign in just like you do Xbox Live. And you should be able to connect an Xbox live account to your Mojang account instead of relying on Xbox Live. You should be be able to link other accounts too to get access to more of your friends on different platforms.

Zombies are very easy creatures to beat. Skeletons shoot at you and spiders can climb walls. Enderman teleport and creepers explode Baby ZOMBIES have the annoying speed and moves to make them hard to hit and not to ignore their size. Zombies... they can spawn with armor, turn villagers hostile and break down doors only in hard mode? Zombies are a joke all of their tricks can be easily countered because they are so easy to defeat. Skeletons can come with armor so that doesn't make zombies special and zombies turning villagers hostile is only a problem in villages. It has a rare chance anyway because they go into their houses and if you happen to be in a village on hard mode at night time only then can zombie break down doors. Zombies should be more interesting, and that is where my suggestion comes in.
Zombies need to work together with other mobs or multiple zombies at once.
Zombies should find a nearby group of zombies or other mobs and travel to attack the player. If you see a zombie that means he has friends. Zombies can form into big groups of other zombies or a small group of other mobs. Zombies can become very social to use that to their advantage. Now if there is different mobs in a group the more zombies in that group means the harder the group will be. The more zombies means more teamwork between mobs. How big these groups can be should be determined by difficulty. Example Easy = 3 zombies or 1 zombie and 2 others, and hard mode meaning 8 zombie groups and 3 zombies with 5 other mobs. The longer the night goes without killing the zombies in the area the harder it will get. Zombies should spawn alone, but they take a bit to form groups. A bit longer for those groups to reach their max. Watch your back for that zombie that doesn't seem worth it to kill because it may come back with more and you will regret it!
When you are killed by a zombie a new zombie should spawn in your place.
You are confronted by a group of zombies and are killed. There were three zombies and they got into your house. You come back and a fourth zombie is found sharing your skin with its arms up just like a zombie. Now if a zombie comes with different mobs and another mob kills you not a zombie you don't get a new zombie spawned in. Zombies should try to get the last hit though.
Zombies spawn with materials.
When forming a group it can craft armor pieces like helmets to skeletons and other zombies to share. They don't use any on themselves because they prefer to share with other mobs. If another zombie comes in contact with the zombie they will equip armor for each other and attack.
Zombies can become a better encounter when it comes to a good challenge. It would give you a good reason to get rid of zombies in the night! Watch your back you may have an attack on your hands! Better be prepared and prevent the next one.

So I want to know some things. I know the pocket edition is a different edition to minecraft but I see many similarities between Console and PC minecraft on the outside and the feel of each. I like how with the console it is made to work with a controller and still feel like I am playing Minecraft, but Pocket Edition doesn't look a lot like minecraft. Yes there are some slight differences on purpose like the water in swamps. In the end I don't feel the minecraft feel with Pocket Edition. It is a great game but it just doesn't feel like Minecraft and thats what I don't really like about it.
Now that I have got all that out of the way. I can ask my questions.
I play the Minecraft Windows 10 Edition. Will they ever make it feel like a game that works with the controls and the pc minecraft feel? I know the game internals can't be designed for a pc but can the interface feel more like a pc game? Controls like tab should be for the Windows 10 edition. We have the crafting table for Windows 10 edition but not available in smartphone versions. Can't they do stuff like that for more things? They even did it with the inventory in survival. It ui should change if you are using a controller or not if that is possible. If you are using a controller the ui should change to something that works with the controller. Preferably a console edition interface. This is mainly for Oculus Rift and Gear VR version of this game.
I hope there will be better settings and exit menu. If we have the tab control can't we get the pc minecraft exit menu? Or something close to it? I don't like that it looks like the pocket edition version. I also want to see better controls control. I want to be able to change my controls like I can in PC minecraft. The settings to look like the pc version. This is something that can be applied to pocket edition on smartphones. There is not a lot of settings to customize.
Being on fire or seeing another entity on fire looks strange.
The icon you see when you put it on the taskbar looks bad. Will they ever fix that?
The water in this game just looks off from the other two versions. Thats all to say there. Will they ever fix that?
Throwing entities looks not natural. It just appears in front of your face. The other games it comes out of you. Looks like you are actually throwing it even in first person.
When you attack the red that the entity turns into is too red. I think. The other editions of minecraft it is better.
Another small (and final) nitpick about the game. The way chat works in the Windows 10 version just doesn't work with pc. I hope to see it more like pc and chat box not at the top. Yea I got a lot of little nitpicks.
And I have heard about Xbox console minecraft eventually supporting cross play. First off is this true? Will this come for other consoles if true? And anything else to know about it?
Will there ever be a dedicated Minecraft account for all editions of minecraft except java edition? Life for cross purchases and with support with all game console services like Playstation and Nintendo and maybe even steam to play with them? It would be nice to see an account for pocket edition instead of forcing people to get an Xbox account. You should be able to link these accounts with whatever account you have. So you can always play with your friends.
When will MCWin10 edition come out of beta? And for pocket edition in general when will it come out of Alpha and/or beta? When will we see a true release? In some ways it is complete with the features. It just lacks the feel.
And finally, Will Minecraft Windows 10 Edition ever come to another platform? Example Linux or Mac or Windows 8 or 7?
I just have a lot of things to say because it just doesn't feel complete like some other platforms. Even if another edition doesn't have all the blocks they feel more completed versions of Minecraft. They are just adding features to them just like pocket edition.

There have been post before this about Minecraft on Steam. It would be nice to see Minecraft Console Edition on Steam. Steam has controller support and its for the PC. If you have a Windows 10 PC with Steam you could have all editions of Minecraft on your PC to play. Also just like the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft you can add PC controls to this version along with controller support. You should be able to play with your Xbox friends on your PC. Steam having some game limitations along with consoles would make it the perfect fit for Steam. I would love to play console Minecraft on my PC one day. I see why PC version of Minecraft was turned down so quickly but the console edition of Minecraft seems to me the perfect fit for Steam even though it can't get into the power of the PC's it would be kinda like the Windows 10 edition using Pocket Edition.
What do you all think about this? I hope this idea helps them change their minds about Minecraft being on Steam. Its just the console edition not the pc edition with all its mods and crazy skins and everything.

I think this idea is wonderful. Minecraft underground isn't very exciting except for the occasional diamond. We have above ground things to really explore but never anything below ground to really explore. I think adding something as big as this to the game will do it good. They can show the layers in the debug screen where biomes are. This is a better equivalent to underground biomes because biomes are up on the surface layers are underground.
I bet if Mojang/Microsoft were to add this they would tweek this to people's liking anyway.

You mentioned in your suggestion about no losing durability. Then you mentioned speed boosts taking durability. You are kinda contradicting yourself there. I like no durability and speed boosts but the problem with speed boosts is where will the speed come from? The elytra is like a hang glider. You can't just magically get a speed boost. I get you would lose durability but you said you would like to see durability be taken away. I guess thats just for normal gliding. No durability and speed boosts would be great if speed boosts could make more sence. Maybe if they could have something be in your off hand or in your inventory that gets used up this would be a good idea. Breaks are a good idea though but ,magically no damage from impact is what breaks could be used for. This is just what I think.

I would support this but something like this is in the works. Its not for the pc edition though. A pocket edition dev said they would like an unified version of minecraft. That version of minecraft would be pocket. I have a strong feeling that with this other thing he said about phasing out the pc edition and releasing the pocket edition everywhere else for crossplay that they will eventually stop releasing mod breaking updates and continue on to the new minecraft. Then mods could easily take over the old abandoned minecraft pc so there will be no hassle to update mods.
I bet since they may not have supported modding but allowed it they have seen what the modders do. I bet they have seen people taking awhile to update to the latest version or just quitting on the latest minecraft. I know that they are allowing mod support in the next update to pocket edition and this would probably mean exactly what you are saying here in this post. There is not forge or bukkit on pocket edition so the opportunity is wide open. They don't have this opportunity on the pc edition.
I would support this if this edition of minecraft was going to last but I see no point now since they are saying to slowly phase out minecraft pc. Updates come slower now and pocket edition has had many big updates about as big as big main updates we get to minecraft pc. Pocket edition is catching up way faster then the pc edition is releasing updates. Mods have time to update because of the large gaps but soon I bet updates will get smaller and pocket edition will have the exclusives over the pc edition. Easier for modders to update and soon they will just stop. Mods update and people play them. pc edition has become the modding edition while the pocket edition gets its fair share of mods. Pc minecraft dies down and as pocket edition is now on Windows 10 they should be releasing it for more computers soon. Minecraft lives on better then before while some people stay on the pc edition maybe even playing new minecraft because it will get its mods.
