Not that I take this seriously at all, but considering the PDF of the lawsuit says 'Mindcraft' says to me this is another patent-troll, and it won't go anywhere.
I've got a small server, only relatively new (bout a month old). Me and 3 friends are the only ones on it. We run IC2, BC2.2, RP2, EE2, Forestry, RailCraft, and WirelessRedstone.
If you're interested I can send you a link to the tour vid I made about a week ago (unlisted video).
We're always looking to find mature, friendly people to play and build with. I've personally got no restrictions on whether you build legit or in creative (you can freely swap), Though I and one of my friends try to always build legit. The server itself is natively in survival.
We also run NEI and use it for time of day control, swapping to creative to fly when needed, and for viewing recipes for crafting.
We don't run any sort of Town system, or use an economy, simply because we'd like to keep the server small for now.
really? because i am running RP, BC, IC2, EE2, a bunch of add ons for these, fossils and archeology, iron chest, rail craft, train mod, simple ores, netherrocks, forestry, and better dungeons, and a bunch more, unsure how you got that problem.
Yeah, running on .94 was giving me quite a few problems with redpower particularly, missing textures, unnamed items, blocks not staying when placed. Even after complete fresh re-installs of everything, and triple-checking the Block IDs of everything to avoid any conflicts, it was still happening until I switched to .99
Ye there is a problem, Ive been driving nuts thinking it was the other mods but it appears to be this one.
Glider, we are not asking you to leave everything you are doing for this but it owuld be nice to, whenever you can , release a version that fixes this problem with forge.
it pisses me off that now I have to play without KIOD
BTW this is the error log im getting on the server, not in SSP, in SSP it works fine but this happens in SMP:

Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets the error. I was thinking it was just me doing something completely wrong.
I'm really sorry for your inconvenience, I didn't realize Forge's API changed the class for EntityPlayerMp.
I'll have a fix within the fortnight, once I have time to work on my mods again.
Remember, that this mod is open source.
Anyone can extend it however they like.
I doubt any of us are in a super big hurry, I know I'm not. Take however long you need man. I'm just glad I have the Quantum Armor from IC2 on, I don't have to fear death with it (awesome but expensive as crap to make)
I would love for this to be SMP compatible (without Modloader MP please) so I can add it to my server. I played Terraria for a while but always came back to MC. I always said it would be awesome if both games got combined. I run a lot of Forge based mods like IndustrialCraft, BuildCraft, Forestry, etc etc (as I know lots of people do) and requiring ModloaderMP means we can't use it due to Forge now being completely incompatible with MLMP
EE2 is a mod folder mod, thus it can not edit it, perhaps forge uses it, i got this and EE2 installed as well, let me check on SP.
edit: just checked, all blocks have a GUI
It worked for me on 1.2.4 with EE2, but with EE2 and KIOD both on their 1.2.5 versions, I get that error. Any possible ideas why? Everything I run works fine until I install KIOD then I get that error with EE2.
I've tried it with just the serverside installed (like it was on 1.2.4.) and with both client and server-sides installed and I get the same problem on my server. I really really like this mod, as do my friends who play on the server so I'd like to get them playing well together.
Hmmmm, It's not a compatibility issue (especially if no error comes out), it sounds like a server connection issue.
Either:
It's a connection issue.
You don't have the 1.2.5 version of both those mods installed
(If you installed the 1.2.4 version on a 1.2.5 server, you're going to have problems).
Check your connection. If worse comes to worse, redownload a server.jar, install the mods, and copy your world and settings over
I hope that helps, let me know if there's any way I can be of assistance
P.s. I've made an SMP enchantment mod for making the enchanting system much more balanced, strategic and rewarding at higher levels.
If you're interested, check out: Superior Enchanting
and let me know what you think
That definitely looks interesting and I might check it out. As for the problem. I've double and triple checked that everything is the latest 1.2.5 versions. It's just really strange to me because it only effects EE2, none of my other mods, and they both played nicely on 1.2.4. I run IndustrialCraft2, BuildCraft2.2, RedPower2, RailCraft, EquivalentExchange2, Forestry, minimap, NEI, and a couple other small ones I can't remember, and the only one affected is EE2.
I don't REALLY use EE2 for much other than the alchemy bag for inventory space and tool repair, and for the transmutaion table, so I probably COULD drop it, but I'd rather not have to if I can figure out why it's causing that drop. I'll replicate it again tonight if I can and post the logs for server and client, maybe someone will see something I didn't.
Well I actually got an error out of it. This is from the server console.

It looks like EE2 uses the gi.class file that KIOD uses. Which is odd, since I had no problems with it on 1.2.4.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this just not compatible with Equivalent Exchange 2? If I put this mod on (which I used in 1.2.4 with EE2) on my 1.2.5 server, I can't access any of my EE2 things like my relays or transmutation table. No GUI comes up and about 30 seconds later, I get a java timeout error. I checked the server console and see no error, so I'm not sure what's up.
Ok So the texture issue is fixed but when I place a block from RedPower (particulalry the machines like the sorting machine and battery box) it wont stay on the ground, it pops right back into my inventory.
EDIT: This is on my server btw, it works fine in SSP. Also, it seems to only be the machines. The Alloy furnace works fine. Also, neither the server log or the client log shows any errors whatsoever, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong here. I also did a fresh reinstall on both server and client.
Loving this mod, finally got it running and it works great in SSP. I know I probably did SOMETHING wrong when installing it server-side though. I can make all the stuff, but when I do, machines like the filter and sorting machine show up as bright purple blocks and are 'unnamed'. I can place them in the world, and open the GUI so I'm thinking a texture issue? I don't run a texture pack at all, so I know it's not that. Any ideas on what I did wrong?
Oh also note, it's not all the machines. I built an Alloy Furnace and it's perfectly fine.
Quoting myself here to make another note. Just made a Battery Box and it also became a purple block after craft. still have the full interface though, just looks fugly
I must have really screwed something up, crafting a solar panel, works until I pull it into my inventory, where it turns into a support frame... I must have screwed up the block IDs or something. Although they aren't using the same IDs so I really don't know what's wrong.

Damn, running .94 was messing with my other mods, RedPower particularly, so I guess I'll just have to run without KIOD for now.

Hmm... no matter what I try it's still doing it.
I'm running forge v 3.1.3.99, (although on .94 it did the same thing, and other mods didn't work)

It looks like EE2 uses the gi.class file that KIOD uses. Which is odd, since I had no problems with it on 1.2.4.

They are matching, and I did read the EAQ. Still having the problem
