Even TVTropes thinks the removal of parallel boosters and water elevators was a terrible idea.

Did you know the Creeper's model is actually based of a glitched pig model? I guess Notch had better remove Creepers from the game next! NO BUGS ALLOWED, EVEN IF THEY MAKE THE GAME MORE FUN!

Actually, you know what? Just forget it. If you won't even take the time to read what I say before issuing a standard knee-jerk response, I'm not obliged to waste *my* time replying to you further.

Yeah, it's not worth it. Posting in this thread just gets you flamed by idiots and apologists who couldn't construct a logical argument to save their life. Just ignore the logical fallacies and reductive arguments, quit while you're ahead and let them think they've "won."

Infact, I would choose power rails over boosters, because with power rails, they can be used as a brake as well, making intersections and carts calls, something glitch boosters could never do. I hope you consider my point of view, before you /ragequit minecraft because of this.

Hey, genius. Why not use BOTH? My fully-automated minecart system used both powered rails and parallel boosters, and it worked beautifully. The parallel boosters were not a glitch, they were a FEATURE... and removing them is essentially Notch flipping the bird at his customer base.

You can share your honest opinion all you want. But nobody is going to give a crap about it.

Why, you're right. Now excuse me while I fail to give a crap about YOUR opinion because it's poorly thought out and wrong.

I've been saying the exact same thing over in the news thread. Sadly, it's done nothing but get me flamed by a bunch of low-IQ Mojang apologists who throw out phrases like "If you don't like it, don't play the game!"

Good luck, my friend. You're gonna need it.

Thank you! Someone atleast with atleast a working brain.

The irony of this comment is delicious.

Seriously though, you Mojang apologists need to stop being so hostile. All we're trying to do is point out bugs and give constructive criticism for the benefit of the dev team, and you keep jumping down our throats as if we're some sort of horrible troublemaking trolls. When you insult us with ad hominem attacks merely for expressing a dissenting opinion, that's immature. Please, take a step back and look at what you're doing.

Try actually writing something instead of copy pasting my own comment against me next time.

Why should I actually write something when what you write has no substance? :smile.gif:

    1.6.4 is out!

    Edit or so Notch says

The lag problem seems to have been fixed. However, I've noticed yet another bug...

Glowstone now interferes with Redstone circuits. Redstone devices can no longer be placed on Glowstone blocks, and any previous circuits build on these blocks have vanished. Furthermore, having glowstone merely adjacent to an electrical device (such as my powered double door) can cause it to malfunction. For example, when I tried to walk through my simple button-powered door built over a block of glowstone, both the button and door deconstructed themselves and popped back into my inventory.

Also, can we have our parallel-boosting minecarts back already?!

Notch just announced that the CPU-issues have been fixed and is looking at the furnace bug.
"The CPU issue has been resolved.. Looking into furnaces now." http://twitter.com/notch/status/73728956964143104

Just re-downloaded the server software, and the problem has not been fixed for me. It still lags horribly.

Seriously people! Is it just too much butt hurt for you when Notch is making hard work here for this game and for us to be happy!

    We complain because we care.

I hold Minecraft to high standards which Notch and his team have set for themselves. When they don't live up to those standards, it's my honest duty to voice my opinion in a polite and respectful fashion. I'd hardly call that "butthurt."
