Sep 12, 2011Well, Jeb said no 1.8 today, but he got a lot of testing done, so hopefully whenever 1.8 is released, we'll have a much cleaner model. =/Posted in: Resource Packs

I would like! But the womens have some... attributes... that are difficult to represent on a simple flat face of a "box". :tongue.gif:
LOL, I have faith in you. ;P
Sep 12, 2011Sphax! You should make some girl skins, too. :wink.gif: Not all of us are manly men.Posted in: Resource Packs
Sep 12, 2011You're an amazing artist, Andre. :smile.gif: Been reading your blog and looking at your website, and I'm just blown away by everything you do.Posted in: Resource Packs
I would love to see more paintings of yours in Jolicraft. Perhaps using the More Paintings mod. It's a small touch that makes the game that much more enjoyable, especially since the Jolicraft paintings are your own. :smile.gif:

I just tried in 1.7.3 without any mods or anything, and it seems that the game just makes anything less than 100% transparent into completely opaque. This has the problem of making everything look kind of jagged and blocky around the edges, especially on the grass, leaves, and sheep textures.
EDIT: Here's a better comparison.
Render Distance: short. I get strange sky-coloured outlines on everything but do get semitransparent pixels.
Render Distance: normal. I get no semitransparent pixels whatsoever. All 99% transparent or less pixels are made completely opaque, making the vines and grass very blocky and ugly.
Wow, I've never seen anything like that. O_o Out of curiosity, what graphics card do you have? I hear Optifine has issues with ATI cards, but if this is happening even without Optifine.. I really don't know.

Can someone help me?
I'm sorry you were overlooked. I'm generally pretty good at keeping an eye on this thread, but somehow I missed you before.
That's a really odd problem you're having. Did you run MCPatcher first? Are you running any mods? Is this in 1.7.3, or 1.8PR?

Sep 11, 2011Mahkia posted a message on [1.6.4] Baby Animals Model Swapper, Squickens [MOB][Forge]Grats on going to Minecon! :biggrin.gif:Posted in: Minecraft Mods
I'm eager to see what you'll do with this mod now that animals don't despawn. Maybe you won't need to do anything at all. XD
Sep 11, 2011Mahkia posted a message on SMP's Revival - [October 20th, 2014] - 1.8 (sans CTM)I rarely use 16x texture packs, but this one looks so rich and wonderful. I love how it makes Minecraft look lush in a way that most 16x packs just can't. Usually, you have to go for a 32x pack at least to achieve this look. I love your pixeling skills.Posted in: Resource Packs
Sep 11, 2011I love how you gave the XP orbs your own little runed touch. :biggrin.gif:Posted in: Resource Packs
I personally like the meat as hunger indicators.

Yeah exactly and that's amazing to see "my" chest animated! :biggrin.gif:
I'm looking forward to seeing it! :biggrin.gif: Although I will definitely miss the iron ring your chests had.

The "bugs" are just missing GUI textures. All the blocks and items (except ender pearl which was not present in the items.png released by Jeb) are done. That's why this texture pack is compatible with MC1.8 so many days before even the pre-release...
However, I've done most of them today (the chest texture was a bit hard to do because of a mis-alignment with the lid and the bottom of it) and I'll release all the resolutions monday evening. I hope I've also fixed the bug with the spider eyes. I'm currently testing it (I've finally got some time to work on those things). :wink.gif:
So, don't worry, I WILL release the next version with all necessary textures! :biggrin.gif:
Bright side to these new chests: You won't need Connected Textures anymore to get the better looking chests. XD
Sep 11, 2011OMG, he knows about these "bugs", people. XD He hasn't fully updated the texture pack yet and won't be doing so until at least Monday. 1.8 isn't even officially released yet, so CHILL OUT.Posted in: Resource Packs
Sphax, maybe you should remove the 1.8 from the title until you've made all your changes. I think people see 1.8 and assume everything is 100% done.
Sep 11, 2011I was just finishing checking out an underwater cavern and surfacing for air when a creeper that had caught sight of me from the shore swam over above me without my knowledge, and exploded, killing me instantly. I was at full health. I wasn't even playing on hard.Posted in: 1.8 Update Discussion
Has anyone else noticed that creepers at point blank seem to be a lot more deadly than ever before?
Sep 10, 2011Also, look a page or two back, and you'll see temporary files provided for some of the currently missing textures. Sphax released his 1.8 textures before the pre-release, so there was a lot that he couldn't foresee. :wink.gif:Posted in: Resource Packs
