Please can you add Jungle biomes, pretty please?

All of the vanilla biomes are still there, including the vanilla jungle biome.
Besides, BoP adds some other jungle biomes like the tropical rainforest.

Would there be a way to modify the pokemon spawning to where they can spawn in the biomes added by the 'biomes o plenty' mod? i love both mods, but when both are installed, only river pokemon and trainers spawn, and usually its in huge doses.

I am currently working on fixing some things up that would allow additional biomes like that to be compatible. It might not exactly work, it depends on if those mods actually have registered biomes (i.e. when you press F3, does it show the expanded biomes name correctly like it would for Plains, etc? Since pixelmon are spawned based on the registered biome name, it would require that). No idea when this will be ready to support, but it is something that is being looked into.

In the meantime, I'm pretty sure that it would be possible to do it using the MobSpawnControls mod. Biomes 'o Plenty does have registered biomes. I've made Biomes o Plenty work with Mo'Creatures that way before and it worked perfectly, so I assume that it would be the same to make it work with Pixelmon. The only problem is that it would take a really long time to configure. You'd have to configure which Pokemon you want to be able to spawn in every biome and their frequency. With 172 Pokemon in 70+ biomes, that could really take a while!

hello again, i've encountered 2 problems. first of which is probably not fixable.

i'm using a mod called Biomes-O-Plenty, what it does is most likely rather self explanatory. it adds a lot of new biomes. overall its an incredible mod. brings a ton of new scenery to the game which i love. the problem is that in all my traveling, i havent seen a single pixelmon berry bush... needless to say this obviously sort of breaks this mod since i wont be able to make any new pokeballs. is there any easy setting i can alter to allow the bushes to spawn in any biome type? im running with cheats disabled, so i cant just summon some to start a farm and deal with it that way..

secondly, im playing with my dad over lan, and we cant seem to level his bulbasaur up. its 14 right now, but no matter what he doe it will stay there. he's killed some lvl 20-24 water types that managed to boost him up to lvl 17 and evolved to ivy, but either right after the battle, or within the next minute or so, he will notice that the bulbasaur reverts back to 14.
its not that he is canceling the evolution or anything. we've tried having him log off and rejoin, we've tried having him level to 15 and not do anymore fighting for a few gamedays, we've tried having him fight me and win.. nothing seems to work. the bulbasaur always goes back to 14.
anybody have a clue? other than this, the game and mod run fantasticly
thanks for any response. i can only respond 4 more times today, hopefuly i can figure some of this out before then

Have you been able to get Pokemon to spawn in the new biomes or do they only spawn in the vanilla ones?

It would be amazing if someone could make this mod work with Biomes o Plenty. I'm sure it's possible by using Mob Spawn Controls or something like that (I've used it to make BoP work with Mo Creatures before and it worked so I assume it probably would with Pixelmon too).

It would be A LOT of work to configure though since we're talking 130+ Pokemon and 60+ biomes! It would probably take hours just to set the spawns correctly, but man that would be awesome!

Will I be able to access these biomes in an existing world without having to recreate it? I know some mods will generate automatically but others won't.

You should be able to if you go far enough from the spawn.

    Thank you very much!!
Where do I put the config file??

Paste it as a .txt file in %appdata / .minecraft with the name DefaultSpawnConfiguration.txt after you've installed Mob Spawn Controls and replace the other one.

    edit: it's called "DefaultSpawnConfiguration.txt", not "DefaultSpawnConfig.txt". Sorry

What is the compatibiliy rate for this mob with Mo'Creatures?

It seems that the two mods corrupt eachother's spawns and things don't spawn properly... mixing vanilla mobs with mocreatures mobs with this mod is almost impossible. Do you have to do something with the config file?

The Mo' Creatures mobs won't spawn in the BoP biomes, but I managed to get it to work using Mob Spawn Controls.

After you've installed it along with BoP and Mo'Creatures, go into the in-game Mo'Creatures mod settings and disable the custom mob spawner otherwise it will mess with MSC. Then you can hit F6 to manually configure which mobs you want to spawn in each biomes. This is going to take a VERY long time since there are 70 biomes with 40+ mobs and I doubt you want to waste hours doing that. The best option is to use someone else's config file.

If you go into your .minecraft folder, you'll find a .txt file named DefaultSpawnConfig.txt. You want to replace it with another more complete config file. You can modify it to your liking if you think that one mob shouldn't spawn in a given biome etc.

Personally, I'm also using Atmosmobs, so I combined someone's config for Mo'Creatures with the one proposed on the Atmosmobs page. I don't know if it will work with just Mo'Creatures though.

This is the config file for Mo'Creatures + Atmosmobs with BoP (the one I'm using)
    http://pastebin.com/TDdmbBay

This is the config file for just Mo'Creatures with BoP
    http://pastebin.com/zxAZxmXJ

This is the config file for just Atmosmobs with BoP
    http://pastebin.com/Jkat8gAw

So you just replace your DefaultSpawnConfig.txt in your .minecraft folder by one of these and it should work.

Hmm? Growlithe evolves with a fire stone. It's always been that way.

That is really an amazing mod! I just spent over 3 hours just exploring and catching and training pokemon. There are a lot of pokemon already so it really adds a lot of diversity.

I love how different Pokemon spawn in different biomes too. I think there should be Pokemon spawning in caves though because they feel kinda empty right now. They could be full of zubats/geodudes/onyx etc.

Also, I think that Primeape's model is a bit glitched.
But this mod is totally awesome and I can't wait to see more! :D

edit: just thought of an idea. Maybe it could be cool if we could Pokemon fossils underground and then revive them somehow!

posted a message on [1.2.5] The Official PokeMobs
This is probably the best Minecraft mod ever!

There should be biome specific mobs. For instance snow biomes would have pokemon like seel, jynx etc. Swamps would have frimers, koffings, ekans etc. Jungles would have vileplumes, kangaskhan, persians, or maybe even the rare mew. Zubats and Geodudes and other ground/rock pokemon should spawn only in caves. Different pokemon should also spawn only during the night. It feels weird seeing a ghastly just hanging around in the daylight. And some rarer mons should run away when they see you to make them harder to catch and to make it more realistic.

I also think that you should prevent normal mobs from spawning. It's just weird seeing a cow around all of the Pokemon. It seems really out of place to me. Anyway, this is a great mod and I cannot wait to see more of it!

I agree. And we should be able to choose which biome when we create the world.
And it'd be fun to try something like a survival desert-only world for a bigger challenge too!

See how that works? In a Venn Diagram, those two circles don't overlap. Current waterfalls are fine, there's no need to change them, and it doesn't affect gameplay.

Doesn't mean that we can't add something to the game just for the sake of making it look good and awesome.
I agree that waterfalls look kinda lame right now and I'd love to see something like the one in OP's picture in the game.

I want it to stay in the game, but I also want it to be less rare. It's bit ridiculous how it's rarer than diamond right now. I don't care about it being biome specific, in fact I actually like the idea. But I think it should be made about the same rarity as gold.
