Im just getting back into minecraft(last time I played was when they added the end). One thing I always hated was having to start a new world to get a lot of the new stuff. I'm trying to actually stick to one world, so should I just wait until 1.9 comes out? Or maybe start a world but stay in a small area so I don't generate much of the map?
I personally like to start a new world for every update.
I think the best way to make everyone happy would be to allow people to choose which system they like. People can go about their ways and everyone can enjoy the update.
They already have a way to make everyone happy; the ability to switch your version of the game.
Don't like what 1.9 is doing to spam-clicking PVP? Just don't update!
Guardians...well they drop something partially useful at least (to make blocks). Okay, you've got me, you're better off just mining the ocean monument. Still if you have a gigantic guardian grinder you can at least get something. Endermites and silverfish are the real offenders there.
I wonder what a "dragon breath" will be? It sounds really cool, like a weapon or an item used to craft something important.
I thought dragon breath was just the acid stuff on the console versions?
Question though, that third to last picture confuses me. Is he floating above the ground, or is he like, rotate 90 degrees? There's a thing on the wall/ground that kind of looks like a pink cauldron, and that's really what's throwing me off haha
You do realize that it would be very hard and take a long time to code something like you want into the game.
They've wasted time putting the quiver in/taking it out anyways. It's also not like they're a bunch of novices at coding, since they've been working on Minecraft for a while.
It'd be nice to have a quiver, and to access those arrows with a hotkey. So you have your fun little normal arrows in your inv., and you have your whatever-arrows in your quiver, just press a button and it lets you know you've switched to the quiver.
I would suggest making a creative world and just playing around with different combinations till you find ones you like. Everyone's taste is a little different. Off the top of my head I think birch and sandstone would go well with it. Stone brick also goes well with it if you use the log blocks to look like timber supports and then the stone brick to fill in the wall.
I'll try it out!
If nothing seems to work (though your ideas do seem very good), I might just have to use that wood for something else. It'd be a shame to let it all just not be used, though.
I've recently planned on building a base in my survival world, surrounding an End Portal. I'm kind of stuck, however, because I don't know what light colored materials go good with spruce wood. The reason I want it with spruce is because I have a crazy amount of those from farming the 2x2 trees, and I don't want it all to go to waste. So back to the question, what materials (or pallet, if you will) goes good with spruce logs/planks?
For what I can see, it gives you the ability to look at mobs like a spider did, looking through walls. Cool. Is there also gonna be an arrow that shoots through walls? That would be epic (and too OP...)
Imagine PVP with those things.. awesome! Hopefully they're expensive to make, though, so not everyone basically has wallhacks. And (if those arrows actually do that) hopefully this'll bring more use to the invisibility potion.

I wish I could find a shader that was just minecraft with proper shadows.

Off-hand priority? Why can't the quiver just be priority?

I might have to do that with Jungle wood, because I still have an emotional connection to spruce ;-;
But seriously, I never thought of the whole charcoal thing. I'll have to do it.
@ABN_KingChuck, I don't think those look too good together, but that's just my personal preference.
Anyways, I have some screenies below of my progress (doesn't look like it did in creative, but it still looks nice imo)
