1. BACKUP YOUR WORLD
2. Create a new world
3. Copy the new worlds level.dat, level,dat_old, session.lock, spc.settings, all those files (not folders)
4. Replace it with the corrupted ones
You'll see you got two worlds named the same, delete the new one you made or just rename the old one.
It kind of worked, i was able to access my world, but all of my structures are gone. Is there anyway to narrow down to which file is causing all of these problems?
Minecraft does not handle crashing mid session well. This usually will lead to world corruption.
What you can do to try and rescue it is to get the MCedit world editing program. Make a backup of your world just in case. Then launch MCedit, tell it open your world by browsing to the location and selecting the level.dat file. It takes a little bit to get used to the controls, look in the readme file for the basics. Look around and see if you see any odd world holes, if you do those are corrupt chunks. Usually there is no way to rescue those, so your only option is to recreate them back to the way they were when the world first generated, however if you have an older backup copy of your world you could copy those chunks from the backup using the MCedit schematic function and paste them into your repaired world, later after you're done removing the corruption. To remove corrupt chunks click on one corner and highlight the hole drawing a box around it (height doesn't matter). Find the button that says 'Chunk Control' and click it once. This should make a big box around the area you selected. Next look for a box/button (on left side I believe) that says 'Create', click that and it will ask if you want to continue, say yes and it will delete and regenerate that area. Hit escape and select 'deselect' to unselect the boxes around the region after each repair.
After you've removed all the corrupt chunks that you can find (or if you cant find any), it's a good idea to run the region repair tool. Hold down the control key and select 'world info', in the menu that pops up select 'repair regions'. This can take awhile to complete, the larger your world the longer it will take. It will tell you when it's done.
Once it's done hold down control and select 'Save', once it's finished saving hold control key again and select quit. Try your world out and hopefully it will open. Good luck!
Thanks For Trying to help, but i didnt see any weird chunks, and deleted the end and the nether because i had some major buildings in there, but it still got stuck at Downloading Terrain. Is there anything else that could help me fix this?
A couple of days ago, i was playing on my single player world, and something happened with minecraft and it crashed, i came back to find that everytime i loaded my world, it would just get stuck at Downloading Terrain. I have logged 100's and 100's of hours on this world, is there any way to get this world back?
first off it must be survival and can support two people. i would also like it so if we make a series if you could post it on your thread (?) and we will link you the video to decide if its good or not.

Thanks For Trying to help, but i didnt see any weird chunks, and deleted the end and the nether because i had some major buildings in there, but it still got stuck at Downloading Terrain. Is there anything else that could help me fix this?
