The map is great, and if you keep working on it it will get better.

I think it was a really great map. The books are fine, but there are only 2 things I have in mind.

First, make NPC Trades instead of that chest thing. Also fix the quests. They're in one chest which confuses me.

Second, some command blocks would be nice.

Eh, It's okay. The problem for you is, there already is a map exactly like this. Someone made a Slender Map using command blocks that is really cool. It doesn't have 12 discs however. What it is, is simple. You get 8 pages which are on display on areas just like slender. You display them with ITEM DISPLAYS. Then you trade them to a villager, who gives you a switch, which you use on an area next to him which teleport's you to the WINNERS area. Basically, someone made this but more advanced. But I guess you can do yours, ONLY BECAUSE YOU HAVE 12 DISCS. Good Luck learning more about command blocks. Also, try making nausea potions because you should make it if you look at him, you get splashed by nausea. That's what the other guy did.

I already know how to do this, but this is a good tutorial. Also, try making a video on making the server faster. Allocating more ram to it.

It's easy to do. But some people still need tutorials.
