Don't you have World Gen setup already for your ores in the Overworld, Nether, and End? Just specify the Dimension ID of your dimension in your generate().
Look at Blocks.Grass in your reference library. There's 3 methods there that help determine Grass color (at least in 1.7.10) according to the biome the dirt block is currently in.
I've found, in my experience, I always turn to Jabelar's Modding Tutorials. In addition, they also link to other great modder's depending on what you're programming currently.
The first thing anyone will tell you though, is 'Learn the basics of JAVA before trying to mod' for minecraft. It's really not that hard, especially if you've picked up on other programming languages.
Sorry to write in this thread with offtopic again, but @MadHatAk am I right with my assumption that you are searching for a mod that adds doors for BoP?
Please don't view this post as an advertisement for that mod.
Sweet Jeebus, Yaaaaas! That will work too. I work ALOT in 1.7.10 with mainly just my Mod, and Pam's but, after watching @AstroTibs Galaxy Odyssey Series, I'm sold on BOP, and TC.

Not that I can see. Where do you have it? In assets/blah/blah, or data/modid/recipes/blah?

Same as you would for Overworld, Nether, or End. The other option is to make your own Chunk Generator Class.

The first command you run in the command prompt is gradlew genEclipseRuns.
followed by: gradlew eclipse.

In ArrowItem#createArrow:
Use your arrow Entity instead.

Do you have createArrow() in your ArrowItem class? It should reference your arrow entity in there.

I'd start with the TippedArrow class, and ArrowEntity class.

On the first page, the 3rd Spoiler from the Bottom has all of the download links.

Coal actually has a metadata value. Need to use this:

@AstroTibs by chance what mod were you using for the doors in your video? Am I correct that they're made from the Trees found in Biome's O' Plenty?
0
@AstroTibs, I've been thoroughly enjoying your series 'Galaxy Odyssey'.

How exactly would I realize this? You do know there's a difference in texture rendering pre 1.8, right?
Code always helps. JSON file, or the texture path (pre 1.8) would have been relevant either way.
