posted a message on (Surv) Tree of Survival!
It might be hard to live in a tree, but I'd imagine it would get very boring.
If I were to make a survival map entirely inside of a tree, I would make it about 20 times larger with jumping puzzles, mob spawners, mazes, traps, etc. Survival Island inside a small tree does not sound very fun to me. Just some constructive criticism.

posted a message on Staring at endermen no longer enrages them
Since Jon is doing AI overhauls for almost all of the hostile mobs, I'm betting we will see some new Enderman AI soon. For instance, instead of mindlessly jumping beneath you when you are up on a wall, they could either teleport behind you on top of the wall or build a staircase or something?

I'd like to see them pick up blocks at a faster rate to make little intentional potholes that will get in the way of the player.

They definitely need an AI buff though, that much is for sure.

    posted a message on Cats
The solitary environment that is Minecraft is too depressing for the cats to handle. It is an infinite wonderland, yet a confined prison with no human contact. Some can handle the solitude like Steve and his dogs, but the cats cannot seem to find meaning in Minecraftia. All they feel like they are worth is for killing chickens. Steve even constantly calls them stupid for not being able to sit. It isn't the cat's fault that he cannot comprehend such a concept after living in the wild his whole life without any aspects of civilization whatsoever. And so, feeling worthless, the cat often takes its own life. A sad story, I know... Perhaps we will never truly know how the cat's mind works...

...Or we could just wait for the new snapshot tomorrow.

Make it a bit deeper and make an underground park with trees, gravel paths, wells, livestock...?
Might sound lame, but I'm obsessed with underground parks in Minecraft

This can actually be accomplished without mods.
It's a glitch, that replaces a normal biome with the (unused) Skylands biome.
This was more common during the Beta 1.9 pre-releases. Nice find, though.

Wait, does that mean that Skylands are already in the code?

    Quote from Whiplashr

Just to point out.. the proper phrase is fifth wheel, not third wheel.

I know many people use 3rd wheel, but that makes no sense. A 3rd wheel is actually useful. Think bicycle vs tricycle. It lends stability, and stronger against being knocked over.

But a 5th wheel is actually useless. You already have 4, so you no longer need stability over 2 wheels. The 5th wheel would serve no purpose at all.

Just a pet peeve of mine.

It becomes a problem when the 3rd wheel tries to touch your girlfriend and you stab him in the shoulder with a fork ._.

Yes. Same with the End. It would give a different building environment to work with and would help adventure map creators with having some varied environments to influence the mood of the map.

It makes sense, and I guarantee Jeb will add this soon enough.

I thought it would be cool if the camera could go through the wall but black out everything that isn't the 'room' you're in so that way you can do it in-doors logically and it would also be cool if your head became transparent while using a bow. I don't think they'll ever update 3rd person though. :Skeleton:

I think 3rd person feels more game-ish then 1st person and you get to see your character.

Or when you ready a bow to fire, the camera zips to over the players shoulder in a zoomed in fashion.
