posted a message on Do you think that the Iron Golems look like the Iron Giant?
    Quote from Kiviar

They are based off of the ancient robots from Castle in the Sky.

This. I like it. Even though I had never seen or heard of this movie and these robots til now, I like how they were implemented into Minecraft. I very much prefer it over just soldier class Testificates because I feel like the game is getting more lore.

    Also...

They kind of reminded me of the massive Bryyo Guardians in Metroid Prime 3
That was really the only reference I had

posted a message on Too many mobs?
I like this number. As long as all the mobs fit into the atmosphere, I'm fine with it. Sure, the simplicity was great, but that was back when Minecraft was new and exciting. We all enjoyed the hell out of the game then, but too much of the same thing can cause something to lose its luster.

The only mob I really want them to add now is a Giant Spider boss in Mineshafts (There was an image and topics about this. Also see the Minecraft Minecon poster) and MAYBE and overworld dragon.
Other than that, I would be completely fine if they didn't add more mobs to the game. They have enough right now to get some lore going, and I really want to see that. Whether it is official or community based lore (just look at how much of Halo lore is from the community).

This number is just right for me. I love what the game has become.

Can you hit mobs through the holes? If you can, that is a major plus for skelly farms since you won't have to hit the feet.

posted a message on An Iron golem? YEAH!
We don't have to discuss the addition in a single topic. So many people would comment in it that it would be hard to hold an interactive conversation.
I also think that the Golem is perfect for defending villages because it opens up the door for an entire slew of new lore.
Before this, I was wanting just a retextured Testie to wield a sword and kill zombies, but that wouldn't develop the Testificate culture any more than it already is. These ancient Golems give a sense of time to the culture and how it has endured the harsh world of Minecraft through the centuries.

Plus, you gotta love the artwork; a big iron Golem with cracks and vines on it...
Kinda makes me think of the massive guardians in MP Corruption

    ...only smaller haha

posted a message on Hostile mob AI's are still missing the most important thing
Id say make it so that when they get hit with an arrow and don't have an enemy in their range, they run away from where the arrow came from frantically in an effort to avoid them similar to how a hostile mob would run from an attacking player.
I say in their range because obviously it would be stupid if mobs ran away from arrows all the time. Creeper approaches>Shoot with arrow>Creeper runs away>Profit

Omg! How do you know this stuff! Sometimes I wonder if you have connections with them developers.

If you were to fight a bear, would you use a chair or a garden hose?

A big ol SWAG BEAR? Neither, I'd honeslty use an ipod charger and still win

The defending villagers should be played by Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone.

    What about Sarah Michelle Gellar?
Dear Lord, Minecraft would be the hottest game ever I don't care if she's made of blocks.
