I have noticed, that if you play on Short or Tiny fog, it does nothing. but on Medium to Far its boosted my FPS by 5.
And I play on a netbook with 2gb ram.

Before the biomes, I couldn't play it, cause it would take me down to 1-3fps. Now I can play on 6-10fps on Medium.

I always, when I start up MC set the affinity to only one cpu. It helps.

I hope this has helped others with problems.

I found out the way to work with water is to make a hole before your reeds ex:

Now thats the finished project, what I do is this:

Then after the reeds are grown, i remove the cobblestone or whatever you want to use.
