You don't own an Xbox 1. It's not available to the public yet. If you mean the original "Xbox huge" by Xbox 1 then you have the one made before the 360. Even then if you do mean the original they won't port Minecraft to it. -

I can't say I'm experiencing this myself. I made a new profile and world for snapshots and both with V-sync on (via Nvidia control panel) and off, there was no significant frame loss. I was sitting in the 300-400 range still. Specs in my signature if someone asks.

Should be roughly the same granted you can find your default resource painting file. Or, if you like a different resource pack, edit that one then install it to your Minecraft client.

Just find the paintings file in your default resources or the resource pack. Typically in "AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resourcepacks\ResourcePackHere\assets\minecraft\textures\painting\". Make sure you keep the file name the same.

Didn't help me either. I'm thankful the Vita does not seem top be affected by this mess. I'd rather not go back to laptop grade frame rates of 10-25.

Not gonna happen. Mods are a breach of the TOS and there is too much legal to work through. If you want mods, get a capable computer to play on. More benefits that way too.

Just saw on Twitter there's an update for Xbox to get the frame rate issue fixed, but nowhere in sight is the PlayStation side of things. I'm thankful that the Vita edition seems fine right now, and that I can just play on PC solo until this is fixed.

Afaik, you can't keep a chunk loaded unless you have a player there. There's a mod (or mods) that have anchors to keep them loaded but that'd require modding the server as well.

Correct. To play multiplayer you must have friends on PSN who are also actively playing the game. Your friends can also join the same session if the host has friends of friends enabled. For instance, if you join friend X's session and friend Y wants to join you, X must have friends of friends enabled. In a way, the multiplayer for consoles is set up like PC's white listing so that randoms can't typically join your world just to mess things up. Friends can (or should be, haven't played console since I set up my pc) send you invites to their world as well. All this is granted that the host has their world ticked as online.

Try this then report back.
Back up your world(s) (any and all that you care to keep) somewhere safe and also back up your texture packs if you have any. Then completely remove Minecraft (deleting the .minecraft folder (find it by opening run [Win+R, then typing %appdata%])) and running the Minecraft executable again, followed by restoring your worlds and texture packs.
Also let us know if you're using mods of any kind. Since you stated you updated I doubt you are using mods.
I'm going to assume they meant that they were sitting on a previous version or hadn't played the game in awhile and just now got to updating to 1.8.7. Otherwise you're right.

I hosted a server awhile ago and I told people specifically it was going to be vanilla. What I learned to hate was the type of person who knew this, accepted this, then joined only to make comments like "Time to make "X"...OH WAIT NO MODS LOL" daily. Needless to say I was ready to just ban them.
