A lot to ask, I know, but is there any chance of a 1.7.10 version of this mod? so few modders have bothered with 1.8 and there is a wealth of content for the previous version that this would work alongside very well.

1. Pumpkins would look excellent scattered around the outback biome and maybe a few others that lack features.
2. I think rather than Endstone as the staff's primary block makeup, it would be cool to use specific and varied woods from your mod. Perhaps the rarer ones to make a cool scavenger hunt so to speak. no problem. they arent very much like barakoa. maybe you can think of another mob that would make underground exploration more fun.

IDEA: endermen (or some other mob) that can blow out torches with a spooky ghostly noise. when players enter deep into a cave, they will fear the ghostly sound of endermen somewhere they have already explored, and the possibility that the new dark areas will spawn more monsters. would give much more flavor to the cave exploration.
BONUS IDEA: some way that players can fend off the approach of endermen, for example, endermen would not approach glowstone torches, or lamps, and glowstone could be placeable on the ground similar to redstone. more functions could come of this, but for now, to keep endermen at bay, a line of glowstone at the mouth of a cave would be an answer for safe mining. unless of course the enderman has spawned inside the cave.
this function of endermen would make them a lot more scary, because players would fear to look in the darkness, knowing an enderman was approaching, and the possibility of accidentally looking into its eyes.
PS this mod is great! and the ideas ive posted here are an extension of when i considered the idea myself. i dont have the coding know how to implement it. but if anyone does, i would love to see it as a companion (or part) of this mod!

since jellyfish are round critters, they should have a similar shape to trees. still blocky , but more resembling the shape of a sphere. so they should have the corners cut out kind of thing, and have a smaller top piece and slightly longer side pieces if u know what i mean.

(disclaimer for anyone who perceives this as an unruly command to the modmaker, its not!) 1.7.10 should be the priority IMO, as its the one everyone is playing. the priority shouldnt be 1.8 just because its the 'newest version'. fix whats broken THEN move on

this still doesnt spawn mobs for us. not sure if its a conflict with BOP .. :<
update: ya.. it must be.. used only this mod and it works.. conflict happening with 1.7.10 BOP and 1.7.10 animals+
now that we have an apparently working version, i hope these kinks gets sorted for this version, not planned as a future release for 1.8

(if most of the users are still on 1.6.4 the mod should updated for 1.6.4 am i wrong in this? dont force users to upgrade to a crap new system , thats some windows 8 soot)

-crickets smaller
-crickets make quieter noise, but from longer distance, some AI to make them hide in tall grass or behind things to stay away from players
-less prevalent i saw groups of 3 every couple chunks, consistently
-a nice feature for butterflies would be pollinating plants and flowers (they could just land on a plant for a second, and make it grow to its next stage quickly)
it would be so nice to finally have a reasonable mod that adds mobs. atmosmobs was the other one i was keeping an eye out for.. mo creatures is horrid, and the other handful are either never updated or abandoned for whatever reason .
i cant wait to see the updated version. please stick with 1.6.4 as well!! <3
