If I were to host 2 minecraft servers (2 gb ram each, or one which is 4gb) what would be a good price to charge? It would be 24/7 (Internet is down every once in a while but it would be extremely close) Comment how much you would pay and if you do want it PM me. thx
Hello, here at MPGServers we can offer you 6GB of ram for $40.80 with promocode MCF15. We also offer addons such as Migration (we will transfer your files) dedicated ip, and unlimited player slots. If you have any questions or concerns let us know.
If you're planning to make a Minecraft Hosting company, and mostly minecraft, then Blesta would be a good choice for you. Their Multicraft addon allows you to do a lot of other things that the WHMCS addon can't, such as Automatic Dedicated IPs, automatic changeable slots, etc. Obviously, since the customers are also used to WHMCS, moving to Blesta might be a bit hard.
Personally, I believe Blesta is best.
While you are correct that customers will have to relearn Blesta it should not be that hard as long as the host has a FAQ where they could refer to. As for WHMCS you can set up automatic dedicated ip setup, however that the only problem I found with WHMCS is that you cannot set unlimited players automatically. Also you must remember WHMCS is trusted by many more hosts and most people make addon modules for WHMCS for that reason. If you want to expand into other games or hosting I would say use WHMCS as they are more popular and many more things are compatible with it.
Note: I have only used WHMCS so my opinion will reflect that.
To answer your question, you could run a 512mb with around 2-6 players pretty smoothly (with no plugins) however you must remember cheaper hosts cannot afford to use high-end hardware and their servers may not be able to handle the load as easy.

If you are asking people how much you should charge, you can repost this or ask a mod to move it to the correct forum. Here is the link to the correct forum where you can ask such questions. http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/servers/minecraft-server-hosting/hosting-discussion
