I've got two survival maps, Babylon & Cybertron. Babylon is pre 1.x and Cybertron I made just before the last major updates, but I still haven't found villagers.
took me 13 blazes when i made my farm to get anything...
That's what I've found lately. Takes four or five rounds of blazes before I see a blaze rod.
Then I built a portal near the blaze spawner, and it portals me to an underground twisting cave area.
If you go to the Nether.. And want some Water. To Farm maybe. Then I found a way for you! All you have to do is get some Ice And Melt it. It will automatically make 1 water source. Its that simple!
Do you need silk touch on a pickaxe to make ice not just turn into water when you try to 'mine' it? Or do you mean the blocks of snow from combining snow balls?
DERP I Didn't see everything on page 2 above. So slik touch doesn't work on ice and what happens to snow bricks in the nether? Do they turn to water then just disappear into smoke?
Next time try to keep track of where you are by hitting F3 to see your x y z co-ordinates. I tend to drop blocks of cobblestone with a torch on top every 20-30 units.
That being said I've had the same thing happen while wandering the forest or checking a tunnel. Dead and no idea where I was.
Good luck, I hope you get your stuff back.
I don't hoard them, but I don't always take my diamond tools with me due to the amount of time it takes to find them. (lol ima make a diamond hoe)
My main goal at the start of my latest world is to find a netherfortress and I just found enough diamonds to make a pickaxe, sword and enchantment table so now it's obsidian farming time to make portals...and said enchantment table. Nether portals everywhere! I guess the extra diamonds will be for youtube videos of me tossing them into lava :wink.gif:
I just want to see the end.
*edit*
Rather than make an entire thread, any suggestions on where I should build my nether portals? Right down on bedrock, or up by the clouds? Something in-between? Wait that's everywhere. Seriously however any suggestions would be helpful.
I've noticed items in the inventory get tossed around upon death, seemingly depending on the physics of how you died.
One time I got mobbed by zombie men because I derped wandering around and everything was pretty much in neat little pile.
A creeper or two blows up and things start to get strewn about a 9-12 block radius.
I think one time I fell down a rather deep hole and found one of my exp orbs something weird like 10 blocks from my point of impact...so maybe falling off the mountain sent a bunch of them farther away, they didn't get noticed and despawned?
Just a thought, I haven't tested this out a lot.

My first thought was that you needed more torches, too bad they clutter up the place.

So putting bookshelves as the floor and ceiling do nothing?
