Okay, I have one more problem with the mod. There seems to be problems with reloading magazines. I'm not sure whether magazines are destroyed after use or if they can be reused with more bullets. Sometimes reloading leaves you with an empty magazine and other times it leaves you with nothing. Is it a glitch or is there something I'm missing?
Definately a great mod, very fun to play with and the effects are amazing.
Only one problem I've found is that if I try to play it while another mod is active, the game immediately crashes before I can even get to the loading screen.
UPDATE: After installing the other mods that come with this one (such as Chisel and FTB Utilities), the mod works fine with others.
Well despite what the rules say, you can't expect people to be patient forever. It's inevitable for them to start asking for an update at this point - after all, 1.10 was just released, and this mod is still 1.7. This mod is very popular.
Overall, I'd guess it's safe to assume this mod is a dead one. Maybe the creator was aggravated with people constantly asking him about the update. Who knows? Either-way, this mod is unusable unless you have 1.7, so there.
Then again, to be fair, these past two years have had a number of very large updates. New mobs, new blocks, new features. Mojang has made a lot of changes to the game in such a short time.
I've found some serious problems with this mod. Mostly the fact that I'm unable to play it.
Whenever I start up Minecraft with the mod (with the 1.8.9 at least), everything seems to load up normally. But then when I try to enter an existing world or start a new one, the game gets stuck on the "Loading World - Building Terrain" screen for several minutes and then crashes. I got the following message:

Yep, that did it. The program installed correctly. Thank you for your help and all the hard work you've put into the program. I've been using WorldPainter for about two years now and all I can say is that it's very useful for making new worlds.
Every time I try to install WorldPainter, I get the following message:
"The install4j wizard could not find a Java(TM) Runtime Environment on your system. Please locate a suitable 64-bit JRE. (minimum: 1.8)"
I click "Locate".
Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Java > jre1.8.0_66 > bin
I open "java.exe" and then get the following message:
"The JVM found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_66\java.exe is damaged. Please reinstall or define EXE4J_JAVA_HOME to point to an installed 64-bit JDK or JRE."
And after clicking "OK" I get another message.
"The JVM could not be started. The maximum heap size (-Xmx) might be too large or an antivirus or firewall tool could block the execution."
What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix the problem? I use Avast for my security if that has anything to do with it. I've tried deleting every trace of Java on my computer and reinstalling it, but even that didn't work.

Thanks a bunch for the help! The mod is a bit difficult to figure out, but once you do, it's insanely fun to mess around with

It's a really fun mod.
Is it possible to alter the mod so that it only includes one set of creatures?
