Well, most importantly you know that they do play minecraft - and when they do it (I doubt they will collect a lot of data about ingame actions).
If you have enough data, it becomes very easy to combine users into groups - for example, people that play regularly in the evening probably have a day job. Combine that with data gathered from other sources (Say, the microsoft store, xbox network etc.) and you get a pretty good idea of their age, interests, habits and more.

So there is now way to use LAN? what about an internet stick? would be a bit expensive, i know

Then I guess it was a glitch

Good point. if this does not help, try deleting your player data

Make sure you launch the version that you have downloaded
btw you could use an ethernet cable for connecting

on XP it's quite easy, but i don't know on what drive it's ussually, so I use X instead of C or D.
X:\Documents and Settings\<yourUsername>\Application Data\.minecraft
Hope this helps post if it worked

your launcher needs a .minecraft folder on your hard drive, not on your usb. have you copied it to the place where it should be?
0
did you install the whole game on your usb or do you only have the launcher on it? there should be no problem if you copy the .minecraft folder from your friend on your laptop.

Looks like invalid code...

So all CADolfan has to do is to search for multiple versions of the apache librariy. Thanks, gerbil

Ah, know I understand. You mean this line
Which is the same error as the one on your minyaa-site
I've read through some posts (especially this one), and, as I understood, the error is caused by a not existing method in java, which is requested by the Launcher. writeStringtoFile cannot be executed because this method does not exist in your Java version. Is that right, gerbil? I am no Java Prof

@the_ominae Maybe a firewall blocking java?

Well, then it is possible you'll get some crashes. But play on like now, if you want

No problem, dude

Try to launch Minecraft without Liteloader. Btw I guess you have Liteloader installed because of the Voxelmap. Try out the Radar-free Voxelmap, which doesn't need Liteloader. Most PvP Servers don't like the Minimap with Player Radar.
