This is just a simple thought. But in tundra/Taiga areas, Would it be possible to make the surface snow,Maybe have two snow blocks deep until you hit dirt, then cobble and so on. Cause that would be interesting.

    Example:
    Glass is snow

    :Glass: :Glass: :Glass: :Glass: :Glass:
    :Glass: :Glass: :Glass: :Glass: :Glass:
    :soil: :soil: :soil: :soil: :soil:

The ground is supposed to be completely frozen for a few feet or so, if I remember correctly. So makes sense to me.

Heck, the second layer could even be ice instead of snow.

Yes, indeed, spilling soda over your keyboard is a huge contributor to graphics lag. You see, the graphics card sucks up all the caffiene from the keyboard, and now only runs faster when you pour coffee over your card. When its on.

Hey codewarrior, could you add the option for hollow brushes? To make hollow spheres?

I checked out some other user-made maps for inspiration.

Probably going to work on my main level later.

I did NOT add any "unusable" block types, unless it added them without my knowing.

I'll PM you my save file soon.

He couldn't have joined me up there unless he could. :iapprove:

I'm pretty sure they DO jump forward. I made a mob trap with this ladder on the other side of a pit (that I could jump and climb up to hide), and a zombie successfully jumped over the pit and joined me, LOL.

When you edit do you put in huge things like 5000 blocks of TNT or it might just be because of the generated level itself I had a world and when it loaded it crashed

Here's a "history" of my problem:

NBT Forge: created hollow sphere of dynamite, 64 block diameter. Crashed.

NBT Forge: created hollow sphere of dynamite, ~40 block diameter. Crashed.

MCEdit: created solid sphere of dynamite, ~40 block diameter. WORKED.

Omen + MCEdit: Generated Omen map, imported to MCEdit to create infdev map. Crashed.

And, to really test your suggestion:

NBT Forge: created hollow sphere of dynamite, 5 block diameter. WORKED.

So yes, apparently it's because I'm adding huge things, but I don't see why that's a problem. Aside from the Omen map, the spheres didn't go through the level floor/ceiling. Would blocks that I add just be loaded like all other blocks? It doesn't make any sense, unless there was something wrong with the blocks themselves.

Like I said, this crash ONLY happens when I edit maps.

Hey codewarrior. I'm loving this editor, but I'm having a problem with it: The edited maps crash my game.

I created a new map to load a map I made in Omen, but when I try to load the save, it crashes Minecraft (WHILE the level is loading):

NOTE: I'm also getting this error when I load maps edited with NBT Forge, and some other people who HAVEN'T edited their maps are getting this error, so this might not be a problem with your program. But I'm posting here just in case you have any ideas.

There's a lot of threads about crashes lately, but for different errors. I wanted to make one for this in particular.

I'm running the downloaded client. Crash also happens on Ubuntu 9.10 (same Java version).

Thing is, I only get this error when loading maps that have been edited (with NBT Forge, MCEdit). So perhaps it's a level/level-loading related error.

YES YES you could say it's because of the editors -- I've already posted to the editor authors about it to see if they know what's going on. But because other people seem to be having problems with this (without editors), I'm posting here anyway.

Hey aeomin, I love this editor, and I think I could use it for a lot of things, but edited maps crash my game. It seems others are having this problem, too.

I added a hollow sphere of TNT, but as soon as I approach it, my game crashes with the following error:

    This is in single-player infdev.

Do you know what's causing this? Is there something I can do to make it work?

I realize you're rewriting the code. Would you prefer we just wait until the new version comes out? :P

EDIT: This also happened when I created a world in MCEdit, and people who haven't used editors seem to have this problem, so it MIGHT not be your prog.
