So you all would rather see minecraft on pe/win10 and consoles go without any texture packs, skin packs, world downloads, ect, cause as it stands right now we don't have a real good selection, and FYI, all these have been being sold on console version since its initial launch, however we don't have a great selection.
I would rather see MC on w10 operate the way Java does and not charge through the roof for a simple bucket fill and I would rather not see the community get torn apart because of the inevitable squabbles that come with paid modding like it did in Skyrim.

The "problem" is that they are 10 years old. Kids (well adults too but double for kids) want the most gain possible for the least possible effort. Why go off and build their own village when they have one already built? Why go make their own items when they can "borrow" from your son? I do not think I can help ya much, my experience with handling communites is from a moderation perspective: IE, if you do not want someone to do something, make and enforce a rule about it. That isn't something that would work though on a server such as yours. Best I can offer is using mod such as PlotMe (http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/plotme/) and hoping that they get the hint.

How about just recreating Minecraft as an NES game? Use the same palette as the NES used and retexture the game to make it look like it is running on the best gaming console of all time!

It seems standard with age limit servers, what is weird is the one server I played on that made you show Gov ID (they let you hide your personal info, they just wanted the pic and date of birth).
We experimented with voice only, and the only two people under our age limit to join were part of that experiment. I say, if you are doing a voice chat why not just press the button to make it video? Almost everyone has a webcam (Skype app on a Smart Phone) so it doesn't seem like it is a bother. Just chiming in with my two cents.
