You do realize the nether dependency within the mod is intentional right?
I see your point now, if this feature were implemented, some people might rather use ridiculous supplies of coal so they wouldn't have to go to the nether. I was suggesting the feature as a temporary source of being able to use a cauldron until the player could get the diamonds to go to the nether to use much better netherack instead. I do see your point though as to why it would be a bad feature, and I do realize the dependence on the nether is intentional, and I really do like the dependence on the nether this mod creates.
A use for BTW that the coal block could serve as is a way to use the cauldron in the early game if you are having trouble getting to the Nether. Maybe lighting the block on fire would have it burn for the length that it burns in a furnace, then consumes it. Just an idea though, I doubt it will be implemented.
I don't know if this information is useful, but I've encountered a strange bug that occurred when i was in a boat, then I approached a pig while in the boat, and attacked with a stone ax, then when i collided with the pig I died of fall damage. When I respawned I couldn't move, like I was in an indestructible invisible boat. Breaking the block under fixed that, but i'm sure the dying of fall damage on a boat is still an issue.
Based on what I know about FlowerChild, he will probably remove the functionality of horses due to them being much more easier than constructing a minecart system.
with the Whippletree, every time either of the horses are partially over the edge of a block, they are continuously damaged, and die quickly. Is this a bug, and if it is does anyone else know about it?
Also, is the only way to heal a vardo to throw splash potions of health at it?
when I first saw your mod, and its ship making capabilities, I thought I would have to end up choosing between this mod and the ships and boats mod for making ships on. But now that you 2 are merging, its fantastic! I hope things work out well.
