Hell is a completely different from the surface world, so the spawn point wouldn't be set in the first place. But once again... we never know.

You fail to realize that he is not ignoring it. He has, in fact, acknowledged the problem, and is going to work on it when he gets around to all the fixes.
Alpha is, by definition, a time of adding content, whereas Beta is when all the bugs get fixed. I stand by "Get your head out of your ass."
negative. he's ignoring it. he almost never mentions it and was, until quite recently (i think intentionally) vague about fixing smp for the halloween update. now he says he's behind schedule and that if smp isn't fixed in the halloween update it will be soon after. only we all know in notch speak, soon after could very well mean months. smp NOT working isn't a bug. it's a flaw. if he's content to keep ignoring it (or is as i suspect unable to fix it) then so be it, but it's gonna burn him. people are already getting bored and stopping playing.

software developers work for their consumers. that's not debatable. you can argue syntax all you want but at the end of the day he's our employee and he damn well better listen to our demands.
Get your head out of your ass. You're not entitled to even play the Alpha version as it is now. That is a privilege he is allowing us. You bought the final version, not the alpha. There is nothing binding him to listen to your demands.
if he wants a successfully developed piece of software he damn well BETTER listen to his customers. if you look at his twitter, he listens to what people suggest and even mentions wanting to implement it. that = him listening to what his customers want because he realizes that he works for us. he wants his game to be successful and he knows that if you don't keep the people happy, the game will fail. die-hard moron sack riders such as yourself will only sustain a game for so long.
that's what makes it so disappointing that he keeps NOT fixing the things that need fixing the most. we don't need some stupid ass flying monster when, as of now, it can't hurt us anyway. that = pointless. there is a reason why almost EVERY GAME that comes out these days has a multiplayer element. MP is what sells and what KEEPS people playing. therefore it's the most important aspect of the game and he's ignoring it. that's not smart.

To try to avoid the flame war between the lovers and haters of notch, I'd like to simply state that one of the main things about hell is that it's supposed to be hard. Implementing hell stage without implementing health defeats the purpose of even adding it to smp at all.
