version 1.5 seems to be a big step-up (faster loads, rendering etc.) -- good extension to the minecraft experience if not the original -- will be interesting to see Mojang's iTunes product, which I hear is under development -- best not to expect much in Ver 1, though -- ask any dev building things for Apple devices -- it's a long road to great, consistent quality in Steve Jobs' world.
Have had this app from beginning - kinda buggy at first but version 1.5 is much improved.
From the iTunes store:
✓ NEW → Super smooth and fast rendering.
✓ NEW → 10x faster level importing and exporting.
✓ NEW → You can now sink/swim in water
✓ NEW → Torches and ladders from your imported worlds now render.
✓ NEW → Zombies have been spotted
I don't know the Minecraft dev (and I'm guessing most of you don't either) but i m guessing he's a smart dude -- the world builder app being popular can only help the MC game -- fbook ain't fbook and twitter ain't twitter etc w/o a lot of other people dev'ing complementary apps -- ya just gotta not be reactionary and think for a sec - p, l +z-s
it's on both iphone and ipad -- stats indicate it's a #1 seller in 13 different markets . . . as for 'legitimacy', u can't get on the itunes store and stay there (it's been out for over a week) if ur not legit -- anyway, it's a world builder and a complement to the minecraft game, of which there's about a half dozen on itunes right now -- cool techs are always extended upon by creative developers, that's what makes them cool -- ji'm just happy i got another way to enjoy the minecraft experience -- peace, love and zombie-slaughtering

For $2.99, it also includes the MineCraft Strategy Guide, which I'm using a lot for the world-making recipes.
Looking forward to seeing what Mojang does with their iTunes app but liking the World Explorer in the mean time.

I have version 1.5. It lets me take MC with me when I'm killing time on the bus or between classes.
They recently improved import/export times, and rendering is 10x faster and I think it's pretty good now.
You can swim, torches + ladders render and work and the building process is really good.
