Hi, I've spent my entire day trying to resolve ethis issue,

ALL Shaderpacks seem to be causing Nametags to glitch like this:

    See attachments,

as you can see, the image's "100%" has a glitchy background behind it

Normally the shaderpack takes out the shadow behind the tag, how do i fix this? What settings?

Character application is Pending. Magic application is Accepted!

Right, thank you for your interest in the server! Just a couple things I want to clarify and need you to change.

High Elves cannot be shorter than 6'10". That's the lowest I'm willing to accept. Furthermore, for your backstory application, you include very little of our server's lore -- namely, the all-encompassing Pact and Demon wars that ravaged the land. They are far more than a footnote in our server's history, every single person on Saphriel has been negatively impacted by the pact in some way; not only that, but the Pact were able to find and destroy every safe bastion on Saphriel that wasn't Barkamsted. Please include how it affected your character.

For the magic application, you seem to have an excellent grasp on our server's magic and the limits. Since you worded it funny in your application, though, I want to clarify this: You cannot cast magic at all without a trinket, with exceptions being Half-Demon, Kurol, and Avalti.

Tell me when you've gone through and fixed it! You're very close, I'm excited to see Aerolun interact in this world!

Okay my friend I've gone and edited it, I can't wait to see if it's up to standards, you can read it in the final paragraph of the biography <:

    ----IC Info----
    -Character name: Aerolun Cyredaer.

    -Character race: High Elf.

    -Character gender: Male.

    -Character age: Thirty.

-Character Occupation (optional, note you still must talk to the lord about loaning or purchasing any stall/shop for your character if he/she would have one. This more or less helps us to better understand your characters starting skill set): Scholar.

-Character description (At least one to two paragraphs describing your character’s visual appearance.):

Aerolun stands at a height of 7'0 in contrast to other high elves. He adorns himself in a black fancy outfit with a blue trimming, his facial features tend to be very angular. His eyes are blue, and he wears spectacles to aid in visual perception. The high elf has relatively pale skin and his hair is stark white. He tends to hold a very neutral and calculating expression for the most part.

-Character personality and traits (At least one to two paragraphs describing their personality traits and/or quirks.):

While the Elf tries to generally be as social as possible, he tends to be rather awkward in the wrong circumstances. Nevertheless, Aerolun, is indeed, a social soul, as he does try very hard. Whilst socializing with women he seems to have no difficulty, or some very close men, but when it comes to strangers and others; he often finds himself stuttering or what not. It takes him a while to become well adjusted to people has not quite necessarily known too well. While being rather social, Aerolun faces this complex of being rather cynical and critical of others, he is often seeing the bad in others, while it's not really known to even himself why he's such a cynic, it could possibly be attributed to his childhood, and whatnot.

Aerolun also tends to be very insecure, but tends to appear confident and well minded to most on first impressions. However, once a person gets to know the elf better they will begin to realize that Aerolun sees himself very lowly, and has a multitude of insecurities, to name one of many. The elf, is very idealistic, and driven by his own goals and ideals. As such, he'll always try to find the ideal outcome of any scenario to his best ability. With a lack of regard for truths and more a focus on ideals; the elf surely lives by the saying that anything is possible.

-Character biography (At least three paragraphs describing your character's history and experiences):

The day was rather calm, cloudy skies and all, a normal event. During the afternoon, faint cries were heard in a Healer's house just as a child was born. This child was, aptly born to two high elves. The child was healthy, nutritious and most importantly, enduring. The child managed to survive the test of time and grow into his toddler hood. Named Aerolun Elsen Iolae Cyredaer, he took after his father and mother's middle names, aptly the male's surname. The child grew up fairly secluded, learning how to read and write from private scholars. The elves were mages, not of too great importance.

As time went on, Aerolun was educated, in languages like Elven and Common tongue. As a result; he spent years behind the doors of his own housing, oblivious to the outside world, and even outside of his home town. Raised within his own community, he was brought into the typical beliefs, mindsets and societal views of his peers. He grew up to be rather arrogant and critical, as of his peers, but remained too secluded to have been cast out, yet.

As even more time went on, the elf went with it, growing into his early teen years, having turned 12. At this age some complications were brought up, his parents had ordered a divorce from each other by the command of the male; while the divorce was hardly passed and recognized; it still somehow managed to break them apart. While going through a long term of scrutiny from both his parents on how the other parent was more impure and foul, or another storm of lies, it left the young elf under a complex and stressful atmosphere, which hung over him for quite a while.

Having been living with a depressed mood until the age of fifteen, the elf finally had broke out of this shell. And just as he broke out of his own depression, he had broke out of his house. Left and socialized around his home town, until eventually he met a boy, who would make him realize something about himself. The specific night that this had occurred, Aerolun had felt love for the first time. As a result, this love was his first and most eye opening, and when it broke off he too, felt broken.

Inevitably, his parents found out; and at the drop of a hat, Aerolun was disowned at the age of 18. His relationship had fallen apart just a month before. And they had finally discovered what had truly been going on when the parents of his ex-partner told his own. While Aerolun no longer knows the whereabouts of those from his past, he decided to venture across the lands, alone, living on dead money and a high wire. Eventually a travelling group of gypsies agreed to take him for a few years. Only recently the elf has gotten over his ex.

After these events, Aerolun having travelled with a group of mixed races and gypsies; the young elf soon became away of the event known as the Pact wars and the danger it posed. Aerolun and his caravan were quick to escape to find refuge, however they were not one to be spared. Aerolun's gypsy caravan was eventually attacked within a small town, and around eighty percent of the people in his traveler group was wiped out of it. Aerolun kept his sorrow to himself; but generally holds a hatred for those who aligned with the Pact Wars against him. As a result, Aerolun finds himself very scared of losing people due to this event. His only survival being owed to a friend of his, Nazorean, who had to sacrifice his own life to let Aerolun escape the warfires.

-Please give us a short RP response to these two scenarios. (At least one paragraph for each):

You’re walking around the markets at around noon. There’s a lot of people around you, still gathering their items as they prepare to shut down their many stands. Suddenly you feel a gentle lifting of your coin purse as a child graces you and soon after they take off sprinting. You have been robbed.

Aerolun decides to roll his eyes, looking around for a guardsmen, until finding one he'd merely grit his teeth. Upon finding a guard the Elf would explain the situation, the child no longer in sight however. The guardsmen would simply write down the report and be on with himself, Aerolun also going off on his own way. He decided to not pursue it further, he had enough for today.

You’re heading back to the city through the woods when you hear a whining coming from nearby. Upon further investigation you come across a grey-coloured wolf that appears to have its leg caught in a bear trap. Around it is three smaller lumps of fur, obviously puppies belonging to the trapped mother. Without help, they’ll all die, but wolf skins are quite valuable too, not to mention that the nearby farms suffer quite a bit from the wolf population

Aerolun merely roll his eyes and went on with his day, he was no hunter, nor animal activist, he was a scholar and this was of minimal concern to him. What was more important to the elf was finding new trinkets to flow magic trough.

Extra notes (Optional, could include theme songs, pictures, etc.):

Only fill out below if you want your character to have magic capabilities. If you don't fill this out, then your character will be incapable of performing any form of magic. Note that it will take significant in character practice and experience to become any form of proficient in magic.
(We only accept high quality magic applications!)
    _______________________________________________________________________

-Magic Biography; Explain the reason you want your character to have magic through backstory application:

Aerolun has magical abilities, the capability to manipulate magic did not become spoonfed to him, despite having magically inclined parents. Aerolun had always been raised in a magical society, his ability to use magic stemmed off from his high elven lineage which dictates that almost eighty percent of high elves possess this ability. Aerolun from a young age knew nothing of magic until one day when he had discovered a trinket down by a river, the trinket having washed up.

The young child would pick up the trinket, noticing something off about it; the trinket was indeed a water trinket. Attuned to the element of water, it was incredibly weak however. Aerolun would still play with the trinket. After a few days he would accidentally do something, that being funnel magical essence trough it for the first time. Upon this instance he would notice the waves and ripples in the river where he toyed with the trinket move abnormally. Having been eleven years of age it would not take him long to realize the object was causing this.

And this was how the elf discovered his magic. Aerolun now searches and travels the world in search of new and more powerful trinkets. He wishes to find a trinket attuned to the element of air, his ambition drives him. Due to his past, he feels empty, and wants to fill his soul up with magical studies. Studying the magical to him, is his last hope of internal and external redemption. He searches the world for magical mysteries day after day, and continues to improve his understanding of magic, his water trinket being his only current magical device; he can't do much with it except move small splashes of water into cups and alter the temperature on very minor degrees.

-Please give an example in your own words describing the limitations placed upon those who use magic (This should be at least one well-crafted paragraph):

The limitations upon magic users bind them by what devices they can acquire. Furthermore not everyone is a magic user or has the potential to manipulate magical essence. The primary limitations exist in that they must acquire a trinket to funnel magical essence through in order to produce an effective result. For an example; one would need a fire trinket to cast fire magic. Whilst the lore is incredibly vague on what a trinket can or can't be, I imagine it being a necklace, ring, or piece of jewelry. People will need to acquire these trinkets before having any hopes of casting actually useful magic. Furthermore the magic system is limited by a level system from weak to divine, and people are only able to use past medium level magic if they have their aspect attuned to the aspect of their trinket.

-Please give a description of the magic system in your own words:

The magic system on Saphriel is the product of a god. The magic exists in the use of trinkets, trinkets were crafted by the ancients who used magic most effectively and efficiently. Trinkets exist in good quantity but must be discovered. Furthermore, the ancients were the only ones capable of crafting these trinkets. A mage or magic user can use whatever magic is attuned to the trinket. In addition to this, some mages are more proficient at casting types of magic than other types. These are known as Aspects, aspects tell a mage how good they can be in a certain magic with a certain trinket according to the level spectrum mentioned above.

-You are given a weak trinket of , you haven't had much practice with magic yet, but you will try your best. Describe some things you could/would do with this trinket:

With a trinket of air, which my character will have their first aspect attuned to, I would simply use it to create breezes on hot days to cool myself off, I wouldn't do anything combatical unless the situation actually warranted for it, and because I am heavily weak in such magic, I wouldn't be able to do really anything too great or grand. Until further progress, I will use the air trinket as a utility, in roleplay to simply blow away at dust or create breezes. Later on when I get more formidable I may use it to knock people backwards if I have to. Only if necessarily.

You start with one aspect only. You gain the rest of them (How ever many your race may have) of your own choice through further RP, however you will not be able to attain them immediately.

My character's first aspect will be to the Elements or Air specifically.
