Developer Hellomynameis99: MCAcommands Plugin
Added help for loot and grapples to the "/mca help" plugin.
MCAlagaesia Spawn Plugin now only tells you to type "/mca spawn" if you're in the lobby area.
Developer Minecraftthing: Magic Plugin
Added support for arguments on the command "/waiseheill". Players can now "/waiseheill {playername}" to heal others. Being healed by other players will grant more health than healing yourself.
Developer Hellomynameis99: MCAlagaesia QCS
Expanded MCAlagaesia Quest Collection System Database and added fallbacks for multiple scenarios.
Developer Hellomynameis99: Grappling Hooks Plugin
Fixed bug where players could pull back on a released grapple to create negative durability, bypassing the grapple break feature.
Developer Hellomynameis99: MCAcommands Plugin
Players can now choose their preferred spawn if they have the permission.
Developer Azza005 experiments with mob drops for a new plugin!
Working on:
Preventing the drop of "invisible" items
Improving the drops!
Applied more erosion to all mountains for a more natural and rugged feel.
There's still the option to completely redo them, but we'll see how the export looks first.
"Randomised" the map (MCAlagaesia 2.0) to add some small lakes and streams. This should make the gameplay environment seem more realistic.
Planning to fix newer mountains.
Begun work on re-creating the custom brushes for the caves under the Beor Mountains (MCAlagaesia 2.0). For those of you who were fans of the old ones, don't worry! The general theme is the same, all we're doing is making them even better and more magical.
Re-creating the world of Alagaesia in Minecraft...
Many people have tried creating Alagaesia in Minecraft. Nobody has succeeded.
Until now...
MCAlagaesia 2 development is underway, featuring a map twice the size of this one!
The MCAlagaesia Project aims to recreate Christopher Paolini's Alagaesia in Minecraft, complete with all structures. The complete map will be hosted on a server with unique plugins that add magic, thirst and the ability to ride dragons, among other things.
The map is based on the fantasy world of Alagaesia from the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini.
Map development updates and similar notifications will be posted here multiple times each week. If you're interested, keep watch!
The plugin you've all been waiting for! Minecraftthing has begun work on the Dragon Riding plugin, which, as it's name suggests, allows you to ride dragons!
The mechanics are still being planned, however we know that you'll have to place your egg and right click it with a saddle in your inventory to begin. Dismounting your dragon will give the egg back.
Yeah, I agree with that. You have to find a balance between the time you want to put into the project and the quality product you want out of it. We've been working on the project since the beginning of 2013 and are in the 5th revision of the map, with each subsequent version larger and of higher quality than the last. Another problem we've run into is the size of the map on disc. The current map version is 12gb, which is hardly a "portable" file size to easily upload to a hosting service. We're going to upload batches of region.mca files to get around this problem.
I too have lamented over the height limitations of the game. The ten-mile high Beors would look out of proportion on any reasonable sized map, but there's not much we can do about that. There are plenty of ways to increase the limits, as you know, however when hosting a server these can cause extreme lag if not set up and managed properly, and they require all players to alter their clients in the same way. Perhaps one day Mojang might increase the height restrictions again, but until then, the sky is, quite literally, the limit.
Anyway, I'll pay you a visit on the server later today or tomorrow.
Just out of curiosity, how much RAM do you have? I have 16GB, but I don't think that's nearly enough to generate and export a 75,000 block x 50,000 block world...

Phew, I thought perhaps you'd died. Or been abducted by aliens. I'm glad that you're continuing your version of Alagaesia.
