Must report that the Sorter for minecarts isn't working. It seems that the /st command is functional, but the blocks aren't. Also you can't stop the minecart with a left click anymore.

    thanks for the bug report
hmmm.. what blocks are you referring to when you state "the blocks aren't"? Are you talking about "holding an item" type of sort? The [Sort] in general doesn't work?

And what kind of [Sort] are you trying to make, like, what are you typing on the sign?

I also just now went through the whole list of sort options and each one worked for me.
Another player earlier had [Sort] issues too, but I gave him a .zip file containing the latest hMod 134 alpha 14 and my craftbook 2.0extra4. And my set up of those files worked for him.
You can find the discussion here to see if it is the same or similar issue:
    http://hmod.buxville.net/showthread.php?tid=25&page=4

    left-clicks work for me too....
So I wonder what kind of hMod configuration is giving both of you trouble, and what I should possibly warn people about.

Just to clarify first, the X2 version is an update from me, and not the creator of CraftBook, sk89q. I'll gladly try to fix bugs in reports I see, but I just want to make sure that sk89q isn't blamed for any mistakes I may have made. And just so you know, the 2.0 prerelease x2 version has no major changes from me. Just simple changes to work with the latest hMod 134 alphas (and kMod), along with a couple small bug fixes. The 2.0extra# versions however have personal edits and changes from me. (the link is a few posts up)

If you want to know the status of the official CraftBook, you can go to sk89q's own site here: http://forum.sk89q.com/

And now to answer your questions:
    Quote from Gardulec »
    1. Before restarting my server minecarts was moving without any breaks. Now they have "gravity" even I wasn't changing anything in settings.
So... is there a setting that works with this "gravity"? I mean - minecarts was moving even 1000 blocks without boosters on max speed. Now after a reset, and nothing changed in settings, they are so slow after just some blocks and stop.

That's strange. For me they've always been slow, and never could go even close to 1000 blocks. If there is a change in minecart speed, my guess would be that it's from hMod, since the only code I changed with vehicles was with the minecart [Sort] to make it work with the hMod 134 alphas. I'll take a look anyways, but I don't think I'll be able to do anything about that. Sorry...

    2. Mob spawners are broken? Only pig can be spawned

Meaglin seems to be working on mob spawner issues in his hMod versions. It looks like he has made more mob spawn changes in his latest hMod 134 alpha 14 notes.
    BUT!
I fixed it in my latest craftbook update 2.0extra3. I didn't want to change the existing [MC1200] mob spawner, so I created a new one which is just an updated copy of it: [MCX200]
You can learn a little more about it in the changelog, but you should be able to spawn any mob with it (including colored sheep)

    Quote from Gardulec »
any other mobs are spawning, but dying in just milisecond.

That's probably a problem with your settings in the "server.properties" file. You need to have the types of mobs you want to spawn with craftbook, enabled.
To enable monsters, inside the server.properties file, set "spawn-monsters=" to "true". Or for animals "spawn-animals=" to "true"
If you don't monsters to be in the world except when you spawn them yourself, a trick is to set "spawn-monsters=" to "true" so you can spawn them, AND THEN set "natural-monsters=" to blank; delete the names it has listed.

    Quote from Gardulec »
    3. Spawned mobs are not dealing any damage. Also they are immune to players damage. WTF.

that one is for sure an hMod/kMod bug. I can only suggest to keep checking for hMod 134 alpha updates. I'm sure Meaglin will have that fixed, if it hasn't been fixed already (he updates really fast!)

If you want to see what I've added in my 2.0extra3 version, I have a video of it here:

Thx XD the Video have helped me xD
I can spawn a Pig XD (but not a monster xD)
But the Arrow Shooter dont working xD
What Stone he need? (The Pig need the Dirt)

If you can't spawn a monster then you might have monsters turned off in the "server.properties" file. If you don't want monsters on, but want to spawn them yourself, then in the "server.properties" file change:

    spawn-monsters=false
    natural-monsters=Spider,Zombie,Skeleton,Creeper

    to:

    spawn-monsters=true
    natural-monsters=

where natural-monsters is blank. With this, monsters should not be around, but you can still spawn them

As for arrow shooter. Is it saying that you don't have permission? Does it say "Arrow Shooter" on the first line after you make it? This might not help your problem but I do have a vid for the arrow shooters too:

I have a litttle Problem xD
I have add now CraftBook to my server and have test the ICs ^^
But i dont can us the what need the /allic or /MCXXXX.
I have test MC1240 and it not working after that i have type /allic but i become the Message Unknow Command if i type /MC1240 i become this message too xD

Most i add anything else to the server?

    What i have make :
I have add the CraftBook.jar to the Plugins folder.
Then i have add Craftbook to server.properties file. (plugins=CraftBook)
and i have Copy craftbook-books.txt, custom-ics.txt, and cauldron-recipes.txt to the Bin Folder.

The /allic and /MCxxxx commands need to be added to the groups.txt file of the server instead of in-game.

Just add either /allic or a list of /MCxxxx to the groups you would like to be able to use the special ICs. Don't forget to add players to the groups in the users.txt! Unless of course you've added them to the default group (which you shouldn't unless it's a server of just friends).

I have a vid on it if needed:

I got the transmitters and receivers working properly now, yea im the server host and it all loads correct, i can use lifts also Ive tried them and they are fine, im not using MinecartMania because i have craftbook now and seems to be better.Ive also looked at the craftbook.properties and everything is true , im just stumped as to why my dispenser isn't working... omg im so sorry im officially a retard... just as i wrote the work "dispencer" i realized i was spelling it in-correctly, i just tested it and it works now... Lol i feel so stupid sorry for wasting your time mate, i knew there had to be a simple solution because all the other things are working. Thanks for all your help tho mate. :$

lol, don't worry about it. And tbh, I often find myself accidentally using a [Station] sign for a dispenser :Notch:
Anyways, glad to hear you got it solved.

I'd really like to have this in my game :smile.gif:

    Sadly this is SMP only.
You can create your own private hmod server for just yourself. It's not hard to do, but it of course needs some more computer power... But you'll also have access to other fun plug-ins!

I usually use http://imageshack.us/ for my pics. It's free and doesn't need an account. But don't worry about the pics, I'm sure there isn't something missing in what you built.

Since you mention that transmitters and receivers aren't working, it does make it sound like a problem with the CraftBook plugin somehow being corrupt, outdated, or perhaps the configuration file has something wrong with it.

If you are in control of the minecraft server, do you see the message ""CraftBook version 1.4 loaded" when you start up the server? Or if you're not able to shutdown and start up the server, do you see that message when you use the "reloadplugin CraftBook" command?

Are you able to use other CraftBook things like Lifts? Or maybe just try placing a Bookshelf and then right-clicking it to see if you can read a book from it?

In the "craftbook.properties" file do you see all the minecart settings at the very bottom of the file?

Do you also happen to have MinecartMania installed? If so, it would explain why you see some minecart functions working.

hey guys sorry ive looked everywhere and cant find help for my problem, basically ive been making the dispencer exactly like all the video tutorials show, but its not working. I can get the minecart to load into my chest, but when i set up the redstone out of the chest, no matter how much ive tried from different directions and buttons/switches nothing dispences my cart :sad.gif:. Any ideas guys?

A few others have mentioned the same issue in the other forum, so I believe sk89q said he's going to look into it.

It seems to be buggy when placing the [Dispenser] sign one block under also, so maybe try placing the [Dispenser] sign one more block down. And if that doesn't work, try one more block down just to be safe. You shouldn't need to test any more blocks down after that, cuz it for sure wouldn't work.

If possible can you post a picture of your setup? (in minecraft hold f1 then press f2. The screenshot will be in your .minecraft folder... just in case you didn't know)

Ok, so I just barely downloaded both Hey0 and craftbook today. Dec 10, 2010
I put the src folder containing the large amounts of .java applications with the other src file in the Hey0 folders.
Put Craftbook.jar into the plugins folder.
    Put cauldron-recipes.txt, craftbook.properties
    craftbook-books.txt into the "bin" folder
    and I put plugins=craftbook into the server.properties

And yet I still can't get it to work. What am I doing wrong?

    try plugins=CraftBook (with uppercase C and :cool.gif:
the plugins value is supposed to match exactly the .jar file name.
I have a tutorial vid I haven't uploaded yet (but will soon) if you still need help, but it doesn't look like you do.

Thanks! One last question though. You used a lever for C, I used a button. How does the C affect the system?

Your use of a button for C is a better choice than my use of a lever. Both are ok, but for this 6combo lock system the user does less work with buttons since buttons toggle back off automatically. Input B can also work as a button instead of a lever, but the user would need quick reflexes any time a "1" needs to be input.
C in this 6combo lock system just clears and resets the lock any time it's turned on. It's so if you made a mistake, like 1011, you can reset it and start over. You can also use it to re-lock the lock after you've unlocked it.

So there isn't a way to make recipes without blocks? i.e. 7 leather + 2 string = saddle.

Sadly I don't think craft book can detect items like that, only blocks. You can however have the block items produce things like the saddle, leather, or string.
For example 1 log + 1 iron ore = saddle, which is: saddle:17*1,15*1:329*1
yah, your leather and string makes more sense, but it's something

Maybe in the future cauldrons can also use chests, so people can put items inside for recipes. And hopefully in a way where people can't steal from protected chests.

Cauldron isn't working for me, made it exactly like the model in this video:

    What am I doing wrong?

    cauldron-enable=true

hm... well by default, craftbook only has one recipe in the cauldron-recipes.txt server file which is to make grass from 3 dirt and 2 saplings. And you're supposed to place the dirt right above the lava, and then the saplings on top of the dirt. None of the items should be above the stone block walls. Then right-click any of the dirt or saplings and it should give you a message about if it works or not.

I'm trying to make more sense of PerlStone, and I'm a little confused.

Could someone explain to me how a user in-game would use the MC5000 6bit Combo Lock example given on the wiki page?

    I built this:
    :|: :stone: :Red: :Red:
    [] [] [] :Red:
:RedShroom: :stone: :Red: :Frame: :opblock: :|: :Red: :Red: :wood:
    [] [] [] :Red:
    :Ham: :stone: :Red: :Red:

    :|: = Lever
    :RedShroom:/ :Ham: = Buttons
    :Red: = Redstone
    :Frame: = PerlStone Signs
    :opblock: = PerlStone Blocks
    :wood: = Door

Assuming I copied the Combo Lock code correctly, how do I use this darned contraption? Knowing how to use it will go a long way towards my understanding of of PerlStone code. Thanks!

My MC5000 vid happens to show the 6bit combo in action (about 1:40):

    But, how it works is:
Input A is the one in front of the sign. Input B is on the left (when facing the sign or the one connected to the lever in your example). Input C is on the right.
Every time A is set "on" (by pushing the button), the lock checks and records what state B is in (on/off). B's states are used for the combo. So for the first part of the lock, since the combo is 101001, you would use the lever to set B on (or 1), and then you hit A on for the lock to check and record B.
After that it's switching B to "off" and hitting A on again to record the 0 in the combo. And the pattern continues.
If you make a mistake, you would switch C on to reset.

The tracks passed straight over the block ####### going North and South across it. No matter which direction the sign faced under the obsidian station block, North or South, the Cart always started moving Southward.

I dont think that's the issue though. Another bug I've had involves dispensers. Sometimes when I set them up they dispense 3 track spots down from the chest when activated, and other times 2 track spots. When I have both problems happen together I can't even use the reverse block behind the station block launcher because the cart will immediately get picked up by the dispenser when it is 2 blocks away from the chest.

For dispensers, I too have seen it dispense at either 3 or 2 track spots down. But for me, if a dispenser places a cart 3 down, it will always continue to place it 3 down. And the same with 2 down. The trend for me appears to be: North and East dispenses at 3 down; South and West 2 down.

For your station issue, it kind of sounds like you are placing the sign 1 block under instead of 2. Try placing the sign 1 block lower and see if it works. And if it still doesn't work, is the setup similar to how I did it in this vid (around 0:50)

    Thanks guys

I would like to clarify that the loss of a building isn't that big a deal to me. Of course it is saddening when a building of mine is damaged/destroyed, mostly cuz of the time loss. And although this sheep had a simple design, it did take me hours, mostly from collecting enough materials for it. But I'm not very attached to my buildings. In fact, I am also a bit saddened that I didn't get to watch my sheep burn.

I felt the need to move on, not because my building was burned down, but because I interpreted the situation as meaning, I'm not allowed to make creature statues. This also lead to me thinking that maybe something I come up with in the future will suffer the same fate as my sheep because it wasn't allowed and I didn't know it.

But it sounds like this was all a misunderstanding. If creature statues are allowed, then I'll definitely come back. I will admit though, that since I posted the situation a few days ago, I have found another server, so my time will be split. But I do love PPP's community.

hm.. i was not aware of such a feature! (referring to the 41 which i assume refers to data value for gold). I guess the wiki documentation needs more info.
But are you sure the addition of 41 on a [Station] sign works? I did a quick side by side test with one sign just saying [Station] and the other saying [Station] 41 (the way you had it on the 2nd and 3rd lines), and both hooked up to the same lever. Both appeared to go at the same speed, and for sure stopped at the same place at the same time.

[*:1dwry74i]regarding signs: 2 blocks under the track; "[Station]" on the second line. Does Nothing.
