    Detailed Website
    www.paradigne.com (no ads, no donations)
    -----------------------------------------
This server uses a mandatory TECHNIC PACK custom server mod that was custom
designed for this specific server. It takes three minutes or less to install this (see below.)
    1) Download Technic here
    2) Follow these simple instructions
Disclaimer: The below description is very wordy, you do not need to read it.
I recommend checking out the website instead, however for those interested... read on!

    FEATURES:

    Fully-featured server:

    • With some of the best terrain generation mods at our disposal, Paradigne is a lush and expansive universe full of variety and opportunity. There are over 90 biomes in Paradigne, and the sky is not the limit - travel to new worlds with the construction of advanced rockets and/or mechanisms. Dive deep into an expansive ocean with dense kelp forests and coral reefs.
    • In Paradigne, life exists at every turn. From the depths of the Nether, where new creatures lurk, to the oceans full to the brim with fish and sea-life, to the numerous biomes of the overworld, each filled with it's own unique creatures.
    • Challenge yourself with everything from the simplest to the most complex contraption and machine and immerse yourself in a world of technology and choice. From batteries to nuclear reactors, from wireless redstone to advanced computers, from teleporting ring platforms to advanced elevator rails - Paradigne has entered the 21st century, and the proof is in the pudding. Check out our full Mod List for details!
Professional, stable and time-tested server hosting & administration:

    • Paradigne was founded on November 12th, 2010, and has been running with 99.99% up-time stability ever since. We have been running an MC server since pre-alpha on multiple platforms (hMod, Bukkit, Spout, and now Technic with Cauldron.)
    • Paradigne is hosted off a professional, high-speed hosting service located in Los Angeles, CA. This is not your grandma's fresh-baked home PC solution, this is a robust solution for working adults who like to play Minecraft whenever the interest is sparked.
    • Paradigne hosts powerful anti-griefing plugins to protect player-made objects from harm. The administration also backs up the server frequently as an extra safeguard.
    • Paradigne has hosted hundreds of plugins over the years, and the administration is well versed with advanced problem solving when it comes to errors caused by plugins and mods alike.
    Mature, well-balanced survival mod pack:

      • We do not have hundreds of mods like some servers, instead we have 28 high quality mods. We believe these are the very best the community has to offer, and we have tested a LOT of modpacks, and a LOT of mods.
        • The mods used on our server are hand selected to not only work well with one another, but also to avoid the duplication of features when possible. Our goal is a
highly intuitive and fully-featured Minecraft SMP experience
          .

        • Mods are updated often, and new mods are added when they come to the attention and interest of the community.

    • The Paradigne server is 100% survival multi-player (SMP), there are no exceptions for players or the administration. All structures are legitimately constructed, and cheating as well as exploitation of broken mechanics is strictly monitored and enforced. Nothing is free in Paradigne, it is mined, looted and built with the tools granted us by the mod pack. Violators are given a chance to defend themselves, but there is a zero-tolerance policy for this behavior (a life-long IP & account ban is standard practice.)
    Close-knit, mature community:

    • Paradigne's history is rich with over a hundred highly creative, mature players. We pride ourselves on our friendly and welcoming atmosphere of players that are generally over 18.
    • We host a smaller and more tight-knit community, and we prefer it stays this way (15 or so active players being a good goal to shoot for at this time.)
    • PVP is allowed on our server, however there are strict guidelines to keep this experience enjoyable for all players on our server. These "rules and laws" are required reading for those looking to join, and essentially just make it clear harassing other players is not allowed.
    Intuitive NPC's and Quests:

      • We now have intuitive NPCs that help liven up the server. While quests are still being developed, there is a rich story-driven plan ahead of us.
      • NPCs also provide the following resources:
        • Trade (we also use "Chest Shops" provided through Cauldron/Bukkit. ChestShops = Everyone, NPC Traders = Admins)

        • Mercenary work (they are not free, you must pay them with our servers currency, which follows the gold standard)
        • Information (Need to learn more about the server? Ask around!)
        • Post Office / Mail system
        • Guards (in large cities, guards patrol the area and keep you safe from threats)

We are looking for a few mature players to join at this time, please feel free to log in and check us out and/or fill out our registration page in order to join us as a full member:

I was just going through this. the ladle can transport an ingot's worth of material, but takes forever.
I have Thermal Expansion installed and it works wonderfully. Do you have have any mods with pipes?
You are correct that Mariculture has no transport pipes natively.

have you tried placing your vat next to the crucible furnace and setting it to eject liquids?
(I haven't but the idea hit me as i was typing)

I actually do have buildcraft, which should work great - I meant to suggest this as an option I could use, but didn't want to use. The ladel works great, though! Thanks for the response!

For some reason I get an out of memory error when using the Wireless Redstone mod in conjunction with Open Blocks and the MCPC+ latest 1.6.4 recommended build (#223.) Does anyone have any idea why that is?

If I remove all the plugins they all play nice, but with a few basic plugins the server fails. It's also worth mentioning that if I remove wireless redstone (latest) it works perfectly with OpenBlocks and my plugins, and the same is true for all my mods without OpenBlocks, but with Wireless Redstone. This is the strangest error I've ever seen... and I've been the sole admin of my server, which has always been heavily modded (plugins first, then real mods once they showed up) since 2010.

I must admit I'm a bit stumped on something... how does one transport the molten metal without the special bottles? The special bottles require molten materials, and I have made this in the smelter... but how do I get them from the smelter to the vat without the special bottles? I must be missing a transportation method... perhaps pipes are required for this, and there is no portable method?

by "bleeding edge" do you mean - later than the 1.6.x this mod is designed for?

No, I mean the bleeding edge 1.6.4 versions. Why would I use 1.7.x builds with a plugin that isn't designed for 1.7.x? I also tried the last two stable versions first, but those did not work either. The fatal error occurs in all versions.

    Quote from ingiethingie

that's the most vague multiple use of the same noun i've ever seen ;)

Haha yeah, there was a typo there. I meant If you disable all the plugins, then this MOD works. For some reason MCPC+ completely seizes up when plugins are running, however without any running all the mods I use work perfectly with this one.

    Quote from ingiethingie

but that aside, OpenBlocks is a Forge mod, not a plugin - to be accurate.... a plugin is a Bukkit thing - server side only... mods are client-server... MCPC+ combines both Forge and Bukkit as i'm sure you already know... but requires quite a bit of memory to run many... i've read 4-8gb is a "good" amount for more than a handful of players.

and "instantly on boot" is unlikely unless there's something else wrong....

::Sigh:: Yes I realize this, I just wish you realized that was a typo before you started wasting your time. I've been an admin since 2010, and I've got 24 mods running on my custom modpacked server right now alongside 8 bukkit plugins. Memory is not the issue here, as the plugins I run do not add almost anything to this equation. I run my server with 2 GB of ram, and that's enough for the small community I've been hosting now for over three years.

    Quote from ingiethingie

    a. have you asked the MCPC+ team? I'm sure it's not really mikeemoo's decision for you to ask them :)

No, I started here because all other 24 mods and 10 plugins I use work perfectly. As such, I wanted to know if this was a problem other people were having, or a known issue to the developer. I intend to communicate with them personally, that's why I clearly stated "or can I request a specific fix from the MCPC+ team".

    Quote from ingiethingie

    b. ForgeEssentials has many features including /home and support for protection - if you're able to live without other bukkit style plugins [ i.e. actual plugins not forge mods ] - then you may get enough functionality from running Forge with the ForgeEssentials mod instead of Bukkit's Essentials plugin... however, the re-write of ForgeEssentials for 1.6 + isn't complete yet, so... sad face on that one i'm afraid.

best thing though would be to check with MCPC+ team... and pastebin them your full logs... as i doubt there's anything wrong which would cause the complete memory blow out you describe wrong with the current version as none MCPC+ users would be facing similar issues with big modpacks... i run 140 mods including this on a 2gb Forge server with no problems... but then i don't use MCPC+ and it's a server just for me :)

I have looked into ForgeEssentials, the only issue with this is that it won't help me out with my economy plugins. I haven't been able to find a good system outside bukkit for this. Specifically, I've been using chestshops for years now. I know my IC2 version has a trade-o-mat, but this has always seemed quite basic compared to chestshops, and I enjoy the idea of virtual currency since my server is built around the idea of high technology.

I do think I'll tell MCPC+ about this, but not until the new release of this plugin comes out. I may as well see what changes there are, then go on from there.

This plugin is breathtakingly amazing, but it does seem 100% incompatible with the latest recommended and bleeding-edge MCPC+ builds. The plugin will work perfectly if you disable all your plugins, but the second a plugin is placed in the plugins folder - down comes the server with tons of out of memory errors (either instantly on boot, or the second someone logs on.)

Would anyone happen to know why this is? If so, is there a workaround, or can I request a specific fix from the MCPC+ team? This plugin is too good to pass up, but things like the "/home" command are pretty popular on my server!

Edit: I'll wait for the aforementioned update, perhaps that will fix it!

Check that the ids are the same in the configs as before.

Otherwise it's fine. You will have those because I removed limestone stairs/slabs, and also because I removed all the Molten Fluid(Block Form). Also since I rewrote most of the blocks and items, they will say that they are mismatched simply because their name in code changed, but they will work fine.

Thank you for your reply! The ID's should all be the same, but I'll double check them! Thank you again for sharing your mod with all of us, this mod is incredible. Oddly enough I haven't found an ocean yet in my Biomes O'Plenty world, but I'm bound to find one eventually haha, and when I do it'll be great!

Is this error something I need to be concerned about? I just updated from 1.1.4e to 1.2.0h. It's telling me "FML has detected Item Discrepencies" (full log at below link.) I generated a new config and got the same message as well... I figured I should ask before publishing this beyond my test server.

I'll be online today if we have any new applicants. We've only had two since our first post, so I'd like a few more before we stop advertising. These are pretty poor days to try to advertise... but what the heck, why not give it a try. Download the pack and pop in if you'd like to check us out!

Well, currently it does not work with new kinds of worlds. However, I just noticed Galacticraft has an API so I'll look into it and see what I can come up with. :)

This would be truly amazing, and would give people some really great incentives to visit the moon! Either way keep up the good work, though! This mod is a lot of fun!

There is a definite incompatibility with the latest version (both dev and stable I believe) of NEI and Buildcraft. I've tried both versions of Buildcraft and they both crash the game the second the world loads. These are all being run on the latest forge version for 1.6.4. My guess is those above this post reporting the crash are having the same problem.

It may be worth mentioning that I also run a ton of other mods on my server, and all those work great. Only when I remove buildcraft does the client function as intended.

Edit: Strangely it's not just buildcraft, but it is an error fixable by removing either buildcraft or not enough items from my list. Here is a full list of the mods I am using with NEI, however I am not getting any crash reports unfortunately... so this is the best I can do. Any tips from anyone else seeing the problem would be amazing!

posted a message on Immibis's Mods - Now with 85.7% less version numbers in this title!
Thank you so much for your last reply, Immibis!

I did notice on your 1.6.2 version the saw texture is messed up (the saw shows up as four purple and black boxes) - I figured someone else would mention this but I haven't seen that happen... is there an easy fix for this? I've wanted to upgrade to 1.6.4 where this is fixed and the lighting is better, but I have one mod preventing me from this (Mo' Creatures.)

The plugin works perfectly aside from this aesthetic issue, so I've simply not worried too much. Anyway, I thought I would mention this. Eventually I'll just upgrade when that plugin author gets back to it! Anyway, I really appreciate your work, redlogic and microblocks are amazing (and I haven't even tried some of your others just yet.)
