You're supposed to do the individual world save. It should also be noted that my friend had already been in the server, so he was already in the savefile.
Maybe that's it... none of my friends who have been in my server have PS+.
Oh well. Thank you anyways!
Wait, it's the world save right, not the save cache? Cause that's what I uploaded to the cloud, the world save with the in-game screenshot as the picture and my world name. When he loaded up my server he just got the blue screen too..
Am I doing something wrong? Like everybody who has had this problem has done this fix and they've said it works for them but for some reason when I do it, it doesn't work. The only thing I can think of is that I copied the save to the separate user before I registered his account on my PS3, maybe I have to do it after its registered? Or in a different order or what? ughhh
If you still want to fix your world get your friends account and upload you save file to his playstation plus. Then have your friend download it on his ps3 and he should be able to load the world. Join him and move your player to an area with not many items. Then you can do the reverse if you want to host your world again.
I had this problem and I tried this fix but my friend got the blue screen as well!
So my save isnt actually corrupted (I think) but I have a problem where I can't play on my world anyways so I thought it should go here.
Everytime I try to load my world, as soon as it loads, it blue screens. Before this, my friends kept lagging out and then my own PS3 froze. Upon restarting, it would blue screen. My problem is exactly like what happened with this guy (I was even looking for ender pearls with my friends, like him: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2260699-freezing/)
I tried the fix Gametitan88 posted here: http://www.minecraft...orrupted-saves/ but it didn't work either. When my friend downloaded my server and tried to play on his own PS3, he also got the blue screen.
This is what happens, on video: (no credit to me, I didnt make this video)
It seems corrupt saves are more prominent than this weird blue screen glitch, but as my world still exists and simply won't load, I'm thinking 4J (might) be able to fix this.
Guess I'll just have to wait it out, unless anyone has any ideas on what this actually is...?
So I made a mob spawner nearly identical to the one in this video:
(The only change I made were no stone stairs at 7:10)
I've been standing at the bottom and it works, but only about 3-4 mobs fall down. After they fall and I wait for more, no more fall. The only way more spawn is if I switch to Peaceful then switch to Easy/Normal/Hard. Then it keeps repeating. How come only 3-4 mobs are falling down?
It's really annoying after having built the huge thing, and it barely works..
Were you playing in Offline mode when you logged in after the crash? If you can bring up the chat, type something and see what name shows up. If its "player", it means there was a login issue and it loaded you as a different character.
So I was in the Nether killing Zombie Pigmen trying to level up, when suddenly Minecraft crashes and says its out of memory. When I restart Minecraft, I'm spawned at my original spawn point and not my bed, and on top of that, all my stuff is gone. Eventually I found my house and all my items in my chests, but all my levels, armor, and items I was holding at the time of the crash are gone.
What happened? Can I fix this, and if not, then what can I do to prevent this from ever happening again?
No, that's not right. For starters, y is your elevation; it's the x and z coordinates that would help when you are lost. And you do not enter the nether at (0, 0) but based on where your portal was in the overworld. The nether is "compressed" by a factor of 8 in the horizontal directions. This means a portal at coordinates (x, y, z) in the overworld will connect to the nether at (x/8, y, z/8). If you remember, even approximately, where your base was (or wherever you built the portal) in the overworld, you can use this to help find your portal back.
Yeah assuming you have the obsidian and flint & steel to activate another portal this is probably your best bet. Once you get back to the overworld, just dig a bit for materials and craft your compass then. (I assume this is what you mean, since a compass is useless in the nether, it will just spin in random directions -- if you don't have the resources to build another portal, then you either have to find your way back to the first one, or suicide, to get yourself out of the nether and back in the overworld.)
Thanks for the help. What I've done since I posted that is make a new Nether Portal near a Blaze Spawner in a Nether Fortress. However when I returned to the Overworld, my Portal was floating about 30 blocks in the air in the middle of the ocean. I swam to the nearest island and I found an abandoned mineshaft, so I crafted a compass. I'm trying to build a rail track back home, but it's quite difficult.
Dug straight down into a cave on my first night. I was looking for coal to make torches and I found some in that cave, but skeletons owned me. Ragequitted and deleted the world.
I made a new one and it's currently the one I'm playing on and have been playing on for about a week.

I was pretty hopeful, but thanks anyways. Maybe this only works for certain instances.

Also, the Nether Fortress has a lot of hallways but each hallway just ends with dead end Netherrack walls..
Any suggestions?
