Just btw the better way for mac mod installation is just name to library to application support to minecraft to bin then right click on minecraft.jar, then open with archive utility which makes a folder called "minecraft" go in and DELETE THE META INF file, then copy and paste the files from the mod to the minecraft file then move your minecraft.jar somewhere (or delete it) and then rename the folder minecraft.jar and it should work

I told codewarrior about your height mod a few days ago and asked him about support. Well, he has already added MCEdit support for these worlds up to 256 height in his latest test version! But he might not support higher than that due to height map problems.

Robinton just released a newer test version of the Save converter that I think does auto-copy the needed 3 files at the end of the conversion, so the converter should take care of everything now. Please test it.

Save Converter 1.5.2 [ 2011-10-27 ] - Should auto-copy the final 3 files at end of conversion. Also supports the new CC ExtendedIDs format.

Don't forget to copy the Height.txt file inside the old save folder into the new save folder and change the height value according to the table below!

This mod takes advantage of notch's new height field to increase the height, this increases the generation, and water level relative to the height. In this first release the mod is very primitive an pretty much incompatible with most mods, I just wanted to get it out there.

The height is setable in the "More Options" part of the "Create World" menu. MidHeight is where the level is generated from, like on a normal world it'd be 64, on a 256 world, 128 and so on, you can pick numbers that arn't "Perfect" like those, stuff like 73 or 87 is perfectly accepted. Gen height is the height of world you want it to generate like, so 128 would be 128 and so on, again, you con pick non-"Perfect" numbers.

Do not use this mod with old worlds. Please note, on generation/loading of an odd sized world(not standard height), it take a bit of time and be very laggy. Minecraft plays higher worlds surprisingly well once loaded.

Also, I am making a generator that uses a pure heightmap so you won't get such odd generations on higher worlds. To use it with the worlds from the old version(different downloads for different heights), you will need to make a folder in .minecraft/config/ with the name of the world folder(The name you picked upon world creation) and make a file named Height.txt in that folder that has one of these lines depending on height.

This is a mod to make caves more interesting, as I have always found them a bit dull, it adds stalactites, vines, mud, bats, and cave salamanders! You can also make rubber boots to move faster in mud, made by making a sap bucket, tapping a rubber tree with a knife, collecting sap from a rubber tree, then smelting it into rubber. Stalactites generate in every biome but Icy biomes, Rain forest, swamp, and desert. Icicles generate in Icy biomes, Vines generate in Rain Forest and swamp biomes, and Mud in swamp biomes.

1. You will need ModLoader, MCP and Eclipse if you want my help. You can post your recompile errors if you want, but I personal will not attempt to help you. 90% of recompile errors would be picked up by Eclipse. There are easy instructions on setting up Eclipse to work with the MCP.
2. There are several files talked about as they are created edited. Know what they are:


• Main mod_ java file – This is file that extends BaseMod. This is manages all the changes you are adding to you mod. Know what it is, and in this tutorial, what I call it.
• Model, Entity, Item, etc. java file – These are the files that will hold your new object definitions. If I say “your mob’s Entity java file” know what that is. If you don’t you need to start at a beginner level tutorial. I may start at the basics, but only because I am starting anew with 1.8
• PNG file – your image files. Know where you keep them.
• Minecraft.jar or other jar file – Though the working folder with MCP will be the temp\bin\minecraft folder, know that your PNG files must also be placed in your \jars\bin\minecraft.jar in the same folder path. I will go over this once in a tutorial. Please don’t ask about it later on
3. On your path to creating the greatest mod ever, do some paperwork first. These tutorials are based off of what I will be doing for my mod. I have worked most of it out on paper before starting. Know where you are going with your mod, or Start out with learning, throw that junk to the side and start over when you know what you can do. Modding is not as easy as it may seem, and seems to have a large drop off for those who are not prepared.
4. This may seem TEXT HEAVY, but less questions get asked this way. If I feel that a video would help the tutorial, I will add one. I will not do a video because you don’t want to read. They take quite a bit of work (to make them proper) and quiet time which I don’t get often (2 kids).

Brewing stands are crafted on a workbench, simply place three cobblestone as a base, then a Blaze Rod in the middle!


Brewing stands have different visual states, they can be loaded with up to three different potion vials. The sprite changes to reflect this.


Brewing stands have a GUI similar to a furnace. You can place up to three potion bottles on the stand in total, one per slot.


Brewing stands operate without any fuel, when a proper ingredient is added the stand instantly begins distilling the ingredient, once the bar fills, any potions in the bottom slots are effected by the ingredient.

Starting off, you must craft some empty potion bottles to brew with. Glass bottles are made with the simple recipe of a bucket or bowl, but using glass!


Next, fill your glass bottles with water, a simple right click on any body of water will work.


Finally, It's time to start distilling! Place a "base" ingredient in to start, base ingredients are listed below. As the ingredient burns away you will notice the arrow on the right slowly fill, once it reaches the bottom, the ingredient will vanish and the effect will be added to your potion.


Here you can see the effect of burning away some Nether Wart to create a base potion. Keep in mind, base ingredients(except for fermented spider eye) don't add any effects! You have to keep on using your stand and add more ingredients!


You can keep adding ingredients to your potion to change it's effects. But, keep in mind! Ingredients can only be added at certain times, the key to building your potion up is using different combinations to create more effects. That's all there really is to basic distilling!

Most potions feature varying effect levels, listed as I, II, or III, level IV+ potions are only obtainable through code editing or an item editor.
