I do not watch MLP and do not know the "theme" of the names, or if there is one.
Plus I'm not very good with names.
Well, I know that their names are associated to what they do. Like, the one that makes cider's called Applejack and the one that lives in the clouds, zips around and has a rainbow tail is called Rainbowdash. O_O
lol funny you meniton the alts, i am actually using one :smile.gif:
And i think you should give my pack at least a chance. Alot of my RL friend say that hate the cartoony packs like mine but then they try them and get addicted :smile.gif:
Edit: Mind if I try my hand at the wood? Ill see if i can improve it :smile.gif:
Well, I mean, my own texture pack's a cartoony one, but sure, I'll give it a go. :wink.gif:
And im so jealous its not even funny. Lol, what to you think of my pack btw? You ever try it? I like yours all except the wood and grass top. The wood looks weird, and i think i know a tutorial you got the idea from :tongue.gif:
Muahahahaha! >:}
About your pack: it's quite different. I don't think I've seen anyone use dithering as their main theme when making a texture pack. It's a bold choice and up to now it's been done pretty well. :wink.gif: I myself haven't tried it, but that's probably because I'm extremely fickle when it comes to choosing my texture packs. :sad.gif:
... And about the mini-feedback on my pack: yeah. I totally agree with the grass. If there's one thing I suck at big time, it's making proper grass. I'm aware of the tiling issues and the fact that it looks a lil' too grainy and would like to fix it. Hopefully, the grass in my RPG pack will be better. :happy.gif: The wood... Yep. I found some tutorial a long time ago about how to make different textures. I liked the wood the person made, so I decided to emulate it. I think it's fine, but I can see why you wouldn't like it. Sadly, it's one of the textures I'll most likely be sticking with for a while, but at least you can change it using the textures given to you in the "alternate textures" image.
Oh, ****. I saw [16x] in the title and completely rejected the [32x] for whatever reason. :sad.gif: Oh well. It still looks bloody awesome! :happy.gif:
Can anyone explain to me how to make custom animations? Im taking a break from these 32x resolution textures and going back to my lovely Dither Delight :smile.gif:
I forgot how much i love working on this pack.
It's quite easy. Here's an example:
The file name is custom_terrain_32.png. The number at the end is the location of said texture. So, if you were to animate the top of a grass block, it'd be custom_terrain_1.png. Easy, right?
To actually animate things, you just kinda keep repeating the block with whatever changes you want to add to it in at least one of those blocks. I would advise repeating the changed textures a few times because the animation is REALLY FAST.
Scared the **** out of me when I had a look at their channel and my map was on it!
You should thank nopefully as it was their video which helped me choose this texture pack :tongue.gif:
Glad you now have more exposure :smile.gif:
Ha. Someone in the TAU mentioned it to me. I was so excited when I found out the Yogscast was using MY TEXTURE PACK. :3
I know! I lub them so much. :smile.gif: I lub you too for liking my texture pack so much. :biggrin.gif:
The sad part's that they didn't mention it once. I keep having to yell it out in the comments. D:
So, made things darker and less bright, and added some more textures.
If I get it released, it may be called BrownPixel.
I like the name. :tongue.gif:
Mind naming each one? I'm not sure which ones are for which textures... :S
The log bottom/top looks a tad bit weird. I dunno what it is about it, but it doesn't exactly look RIGHT to me... The texture to the right of it (the planks, I'm guessing) are interesting. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of plank textures that "never stop". Although, I do quite like the sand! Just the right amount of contrast, methinks... Or something. O_o
Levaunt (or anyone), I need help with giving the stone depth. :L
-snip-
Here's my attempt:
Before:
After:
I added a lighter colour and put it around the top of each rock as well as placed the darkest colour around the cracks some more to show the difference between "this is a rock" and "this is in between some rocks"... If that makes sense.
I dunno if that's what you meant and if it's still not "deep" enough, though.

I just finished watching it, like, two minutes ago. I'm so happy it's not even funny. :happy.gif:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also, woo! I got the Yogscast to edit their description (in their newest adventure map video) to include a link to my pack! Awww yeaahhhh!!
I was going to, but I was busy attending to people's requests for the name of the texture pack in the Yogscast's latest adventure map video. :[
I really hope they do. Even if it comes with the download for the map, it'd still be nice... O_O
HOLY ****ING **** THE YOGSCAST IS USING MY PACK.
Huzzah! It's too repetitive and has the strangest mother****in' colours ever for a bunch of rocks, but it's still fairly interesting, no?
EDIT:
Holy flip, that trunk texture is awesome. O_O
